"This restaurant in La Jolla is our favorite. Chef Maeve's bakery and restaurant are top-notch. The staff is wonderful and the food and pastries are exceptional. We appreciate being able to dine with our dogs on the terrace while still receiving excellent service. We have never been let down by anything here. The Guinness stew, shepherd's pie, chicken smolts, BLAT sandwich, brioche French toast, traditional breakfast, and endless pastries are all incredible. We will make sure to visit La Jolla on every trip."

This was our second time at Sugar and Scribe and it was amazing again! We got the Blueberry love pancakes, Irish Breakfast and biscuits and gravy and it was delicious! Voir le carte

It always a new experience when going to Sugar and Scribe. The food and service are fantastic especially the eggs benedict and the chicken salad. Always have to take a treat home from the bakery.

I visit this restaurant with a small group of others almost weekly for breakfast. We return regularly because the food is delicious with a lovely presentation and the service is good. We love Donna who is an excellent and highly experienced server.

I understand that brunch is a busy time, but putting people at a tiny two-person table is a very bad move and makes for an uncomfortable restaurant experience. I will not be going back if this happens again. However, our server was excellent and we loved her. Voir le carte

This was our first visit to Sugar and Scribe and we had a very tasty breakfast for five in a nice outdoor setting on the patio. The menu is extensive and everything we ordered was delicious with the Full Irish Breakfast coming in for special mention. We definitely will be back!

I had lunch at this restaurant yesterday and it was fantastic! They are very dog-friendly, which was great because my client had a dog with them. The outdoor terrace was cozy and had just the right amount of shade. The tortilla soup was amazing and the pastries were to die for. If you're in La Jolla, you definitely shouldn't miss this place!
