"Went to Sugarfish in DTLA right at the open and there was a line. The host and wait staff were very fast and got everyone situated quickly. They sat us at a table away from the bar.We went the middle tier omakase option. I think it was called The Sugarfish , something super simple for about 60 dollars or so for a total of 10 courses. Before eating they provided hand wipes to disinfect your hands. I wasn 't able to capture all the courses they served only a few. But every piece of sushi they served was incredibly fresh. They offered sushi, sashimi, and hand rolls from various kinds of fish and shellfish. The dining area is incredibly clean and filled with modern furniture. It 's much different than a traditional sit down Japanese izakaya/ omakase. It 's nice but different. The wait staff, hosts, and chefs would often ask if everything was going good and if we needed anything else. For an omakase experience this offers excellent value for the service and quality of fish they provide"

The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. However, the COVID dining protocols could use some improvement. I had sushi to celebrate my birthday! TIP: If you visit this restaurant and "check in" twice a year, you can enjoy sushi as a birthday gift! Make sure to ask your server or host how to do the "check in."

I was pleasantly impressed by the quality and variety of sushi in the sushi box. The sushi rolls were outstanding, and the sashimi was incredibly fresh. Although the edamame that came with the order could use a bit more seasoning, I valued the generous selection of condiments included. Overall, I highly recommend SUGARFISH—you won’t be let down!

First: the fish is really top quality and not so expensive. The dirinks, however, are quite expensive. I have 2 big complaints: they force a fixed 16% tip, and the sushi rice was wet and fell apart (not a traditional rice). I asked for one leaf of shiso as my wife has never had it, and the server said it wasn't possible (they have it and it costs very little). Voir le carte

Came here as we heard great things about this place, however the experience itself was a little disappointing. The sushi and food itself is great, however at such a price point we would’ve expected better presentation. Overall the experience was fine, food was good, service was decent. The restaurant itself is also kept very dark so we couldn’t really read the menus properly.

I visited the restaurant around noon, and luckily, there was no wait. However, it does tend to get quite busy during that time, so be ready for the rush. The ambiance is lovely and cozy, enhanced by delightful decorations. Overall, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the food was truly delicious. I would definitely come back in the future. While it is on the more expensive side, I believe it's well worth it. Food rating: 4/5.

Without a doubt, this is the best sushi restaurant I've ever visited. The Nozawa-style sushi principles featured on the menu are clearly evident in each dish. The fish was outstanding in both texture and flavor; the salmon practically melted in my mouth like butter! The sake was also a great deal. My friend and I opted for the "Trust Me" option, and I wholeheartedly recommend trying at least one of those—it was a fantastic choice. The entire meal was incredibly satisfying and provided exceptional value for a mini omakase experience. Voir le carte

Sugarfish never disappoints! I'll be honest.. I order the same thing every time (Trust Me) but the consistency, quality, and taste always hits. I can't complain! The menu is straightforward so you can't go wrong with anything you choose and the servers are always on top of it with service and recommendations. I've never had a bad experience here. The ambience is pretty chill too you can enjoy lunch on your own or with colleagues/friends. On a different note, I can't speak much on parking since I typically walk here, but it's not far off from The Bloc and public parking garages so I'm sure there's plenty of nearby options if you're driving in!

The restaurant itself is on the smaller size but the ambience is upscale and more on the fine dining side. Parking is available in the deck and you can get your parking validated at Macy 's for free. Everything about this establishment oozes quality and service. From the hosts that greet us at the door to the wait staff that took care of us, they were always attentive, friendly, and answered all requests and questions. We were never left wanting for anything during our dining experience. We ordered two of the Don 't think, just eat option which consists of a sashimi dish, seven orders of nigiri, and two hand rolls. The quality of all the fish and seafood was phenomenal. From the tuna that mel...

"I never leave bad reviews when I can help, but from our experience last night I only had to say for dinner as a whole was so disappointing, the least and after the output it was just a complete bill. if they come here for a nice dinner, they have great food or steaks please skip. go somewhere else food: we ordered the oysters, lobster bisque, bread basket (the btw is) and the tomahawk steak with sides. the entire meal was nothing special, characterized by the fact that even though our server always say that its just come out of the often his hot we have the broth basket roomtemp and the lobster bisque as a think. none of them were served hot. I give these stars only because of the tomahawk steak in the middle well, it was delicious. it was a hope that it would be good, right? we ordered the familiar and the brussels sprouts, but it came out, served on small dust sacks. small portions. a little taste. Note: they no longer serve the special measurable and sauce for any steak order. bummer ambiance service: la boucherie is on the floor of the hotel so that the prospects in the night are amazing. server were nice and polite. they were attentive and very professional. everything in all, if I can turn back the time, I wouldn't be here at all. the evening has lost its elegance and prices do not justify the disappointing food. I hope they can fix this and bring back the old la boucherie charme and aromen."
