Surf Rider - Carte

As an out of state visitor, I enjoyed eating here. The food was good (albeit expensive) and the views of the water and shoreline were beautiful!

Our server was very nice and took care of us. Food was good. Did not care for crab dip , too much mayo...and keylime pie...was still frozen. 430 I wish the baked potato's were ready.

A nice restaurant on the water at a marina...good seaford, service views. If you are in the area this is a good spot. Pricing is fair reasonable... it's seafood so it won't be cheap but my party was satisfied... recommended. Voir le carte

The seafood here is absolutely delicious! The prices are very reasonable. Our server, Tori, was incredibly professional and attentive. She's the kind of server who can handle multiple tables while making each guest feel like they're her only priority.

first time here, beautiful restaurant, right on the water with the tremendous view of the water as well. recommend the calamari really good. had the shrimp pasta tasted good. The Alfredo sauce is a little watery, but still good. beer prices are very cheap. They have a full bar come on down great bar prices.

It was just average. The crab dip was only lukewarm, not hot at all. The seafood platter tasted mostly like it came from overseas, although the flounder was quite good. Unfortunately, the scallops and shrimp didn't impress. I'd heard so many positive things, so maybe my expectations were set too high. The service was decent. Voir le carte

Surf Rider offers excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. The menu presents some challenges for the last several years without improvement. A significant portion of the entrees are paired exclusively with fries or fried potato tots, with no flexibility for heart healthy substitutions. If this issue was addressed, this would be the best restaurant in its class for the Hampton Roads area.

The breading was overpowering; it was hard to find the actual seafood beneath it. Everything was overcooked, too hard, and lacked flavor—everything tasted the same. It wasn't burnt, but it was just bland and tasteless, dominated by whatever terrible breading they used. I've never had seafood there that tasted like this before, and I certainly won’t be ordering it again. I’ll be sure to tell everyone I know about this decline in quality. My brother ordered butter beans as a side, and they were completely bland—no salt or seasoning at all. Visited on 7/24/24 for dinner. The food was bland, it's sad when the mac and cheese and salad is tastier than the seafood. The waiter was horrible. Had to ask 3 times for a glass of ice. He brought me ice water that had lemon pieces floating in it. I had to ask for a straw which he had in his apron pocket, but walked away from the table and I had to ask a second time for that. I never asked for lemon and no slice of lemon was on the rim. I sent it back. I had to ask again for a glass of ice. I was a table of 1 and he was more focused on the other 3 tables of 4.
