"I wanted to like it to support the shop but it was okay. There were parts that were tasty but when we got the bill, it was not worth that much. We ordered a ramen tonkatsu. The pork and noodles were great but the broth started to taste too salty after awhile. The seaweed around the sushi seemed hard to bite into, I guess I like crispy seaweed. My brother got a bento with mackerel and tempura. I took the shrimp, it had a nice crisp and taste to it. After the first bite of mackerel, my brother got a fish bone and that ruined it for him. He gave it to me, I added lemon and ate it with rice. It was pretty tasty. We ordered a spider maki, seemed not enough soft shell crab. Our favorite was 85, it had a lot of different fish. The Umami was ok, the veggies in the sushi were not our favorite and the poke seemed flavorless. Service was nice."

"This place is tucked away in a shopping center and can be a bit tricky to find. However, their all-you-can-eat menu makes it well worth the visit."

In summary, the restaurant is clean and offers delicious rolls, but the service is extremely slow. I visited on a Sunday night with a friend, and we were the only customers...

We had a good experience today for a good price (we didn't go for the AYCE). The Sushi we ordered tasted delicious. The only downside really was that there was only one other party at a Friday evening at 7:30. I guess a result of the strangely low reviews here...Food: 5/5 Voir le carte

Prompt and great service! Chill atmosphere. Chicken Katsu Curry was a nice portion size and was super tasty.Tried a variety of rolls including the red crunch mango, carne asada, california, vegetarian mango, girlfriend, and spider man rolls. Each one had unique flavors and presentation. Highly recommend it!

This is a solid neighborhood sushi spot. It seems they handle a lot of takeout orders during lunch. The service can vary quite a bit depending on which server you get. The sushi rolls are pretty good, although I found them to be a bit too seasoned for my preferences. Overall, it's a nice place to grab a quick lunch, especially since they aren't overly crowded.

Went in there craving all you can eat sushi. Initially, we were disappointed because when we were seated, we were only given regular menus . Upon asking, they did give us the AYCE menus.Honestly, everything was quite good. There were a few things missing from the menu that are standard fare, like egg rolls and shrimp tempura. However, we tried some maki rolls, some specialty rolls, veggie tempura, karaage...there's nothing I wouldn't recommend.Price seemed a little high at $50 per person, but maybe I'm out of touch. Service was excellent, and there was no delay between ordering rounds of food. Voir le carte

I went for an all-you-can-eat sushi experience, and while the fish was good, the rice was a disappointment. It started out thick, but each subsequent portion only got thicker, which was very unsatisfying. By the time I received my last plate of nigiri, the fish was sliced so thinly that it was falling apart on top of the rice, which had grown to the size of golf balls. The service was decent since I was the only customer in the restaurant for most of my nearly two-hour meal. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place and will not be returning. It was disappointing to spend nearly $70 on what turned out to be mostly large portions of rice.

I absolutely love this restaurant! I've only tried the Lunch Bento Box with chicken katsu and California rolls, and it's so delicious. The katsu has a wonderfully crunchy coating while remaining tender, and the rolls are bursting with flavor. The presentation is always beautiful, just check out that stunning orange! When I visited, the place was mostly empty except for my table and one other group. That group had someone who needed special accommodations, and they kindly asked the server (who was extremely friendly!) if it would be possible to dim the ceiling lights in their area. It was done immediately, and I was really impressed by their hospitality and understanding.

"Date Night ASA Restaurant has two locations in the Bay Area and their Los Gatos location earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition This was my first dining experience at their more north location in downtown Los Altos With high ceilings and heart themed adorned menus, this was a perfect spot for a Valentine’s week dining experience The menu here is slightly different from the Los Gatos location and I’ve heard that the two locations may not be as closely affiliated when they first opened I loved the appetizers and particular loved the anchovy bread with two different anchovy types topped on crisp, warm bread. The Dungeness crab appetizer was also excellent For entrees, I opted for ASA’s signature exotic mushroom pasta that is on both the Los Gatos and Los Altos menu As a fungi fan, I absolutely love this dish and it’s one of the best pasta dishes in the South Bay and Peninsula The only miss was their special of the day of striped bass over risotto. The purple yam purée was sour and the risotto dry with zero moisture or liquid and more like a cooked rice dish than a risotto ASA is a fantastic destination for the Bay Area and while the prices are elevated, they reflect elevated cuisine (and high ceilings) Smoked and Stoned $16 Anchovy Bread $16 Dungeness Crab Toast $36 Special Striped Bass over Risotto ASA’s Exotic Mushroom Pasta $34 ASA Restaurant (Los Altos, CA) Reservations are recommended on Opentable and dining is indoor only. Credit cards including AmEx are accepted."

"The experience here from start to finish was pretty odd, and the service was bad. Menus weren't brought to us for a long time, they apologized when they eventually gave the menus to us. The restaurant was nearly empty aside from one other table, but everything was slow. We weren't checked in on at all during the meal. When we ordered, the waitress was very confused and unfamiliar with the menu. I assumed she was new, but then we received the same confusing service from all staff. We were randomly brought French fries that we didn't order, and then that kept happening with various other menu items The veggies in all the dishes were cold and tasted watery, unseasoned, and like they had been frozen. Scallion pancakes had no scallions in them at all. Basil eggplant dish had no basil at all. Smoothie wasn't blended properly: all ice at the bottom, and only a super sweet watery liquid would come through the straw. It tasted like the same overly-processed sauce was on every dish, nothing felt fresh. The kimchi rice was a good menu item, but it didn't really taste like kimchi. Just seasoned rice. Appetizer and drinks were brought out after we finished everything. A staff member tried to argue with us when we wanted to send something back. When we paid and thanked them, they didn't say a word to us or even look in our direction, and didn't give us a customer copy of the receipt."
