Tanoshi Sushi Sake - Carte

This may have been one of the best sushi experiences I have ever had. For the price, especially when Omakase sets are 200-300/pp this is an incredible value. Just look at all the yummy treats Tanoshi Sushi serves. We will definitely be back.

I had an incredible experience here. I chose to treat myself to an early birthday solo outing, and it was absolutely worth every penny. The intimate atmosphere added a unique touch to the dinner, and the fish was outstanding. I can't recommend Tanoshii enough!

One of the best Asian restaurants in town. The lady behind the counter is always so nice and even though I treat myself here about once a month she remembers me! I always get the chicken Udon soup with a sticky bun and sushi rice in lotus leaf : love you all a lot! Voir le carte

While NYC may not be widely recognized as a gastronomic destination, this restaurant is undoubtedly one of the best Japanese dining experiences I’ve had in the USA. It's a definite must-visit! Be sure to bring your favorite drink and savor the incredible meal. Absolutely amazing!

We enjoy to go out. Last night we came to this superb restaurant which we didn’t know before. We had a beautiful evening there with great meal and an efficient team and an impressive cook. We added this place in our phone list and we shall certainly visit again soon. We deeply recommend.

For a long time, Tanoshi maintained one of the most ridiculous reservation systems that I have ever heard of. Every day, a sign up sheet was posted outside the restaurant for each of the three seatings. This place is quite special. The sushi quality is absolutely amazing. Loved the omakase setup, chef was excellent at explaining what we were having, and the pace was good. Atmosphere was different, pop music and a lot of character. Very different from other sushi places that go for a sleek and polished look. Would highly recommend this place though. Am sure we will be back here! Special note, get the xxxl dish, it is the best.

Hands down the best hand rolls around! I'd wait an hour to eat at this place. I've never been even slightly disappointed and everything always is consistently delicious. The texture of the rice, the freshness of the fish, the intimacy of the restaurant. Everything is perfect. Can not recommend enough! If you're in NY or even if you're not, make it a priority to go to Tanoshi Sushi Sake Bar. Even if you see a line, just know it moves fast and it's worth it!

The place is small and you need to reserve maybe few daysin advance. Make sure not to be late! The sushis and sashimis were to die for and we never ate something so delicious. They arethe freshest I have tasted and their rice is delicious. You can only taste top quality rare ingredients and you will not bedisappointed. You actually see the art through his delicate dishes.
