The Jamaican cuisine at this restaurant is fantastic. The jerk chicken is as authentic as it gets, and the whole curry snapper was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be returning to dine here whenever we pass through. I highly recommend this place.

We had dinner at this restaurant on our first night and it was fantastic. The chicken had a delicious jerk flavor that wasn't too strong. The sweet potato fries were fresh, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The coleslaw was also very good. The service was quick and friendly. I definitely recommend this place. Voir le carte

I've been there twice in the past two years, and they have not let me down. Their food is always amazing, and authentic. Their service is great, but it seems as if they are short staffed. The atmosphere doesn't capture much, but their food more than makes up for it. I will be going again, and it's definitely worth your time.

We went during the Mackinaw Motorcycle Rally. This was the first time we ate here and it was really good. The portions were decent, the food tasted good, and had friendly service. My husband had goat curry and I had the chicken curry along with cod fritters. I didn't know the cut chicken pieces had bones in it, so be careful.

We had just split a lukewarm pasty before driving back down to the UP and needed some real food. This was such a pleasure. The boys got jerk chicken and curry chicken. The girls got jerk tofu and curry tofu. Sides were rice and beans, bammy, and mac n cheese. Meals came with plantains and salad. It was so delicious. Food was good, the atmosphere was awesome, they had a fish tank in one corner and have an aquaponics set up with some veggies looks great. Four stars for service due to the long wait, there was just the one lady who cleaned the tables, sat the guests, served the food and was the cashier, she was very friendly but it did take a moment for service and food to arrive. They didn't have the chicken curry as they were out for the day so instead i got the goat curry. Food was delicious once we got it.

I was pleasantly surprised to find fantastic Jamaican food in this touristy town. It turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip up North. We did takeout and enjoyed our meal at a picnic table with our dog. The two women working were extremely helpful and kind. There are many gluten-free options available, which was great for me as a celiac. The flavors of the curried goat and jerk chicken, along with the sides of sautéed vegetables, plantains, rice and beans, and a refreshing salad, were out of this world. We are already considering returning for dinner to try more dishes. That's how good it was! Overall, a great dining experience with plenty of gluten-free choices.

J pork was decent. J chicken was mostly bone and cartilage, and the j chicken burger was a sweet, red colored disaster. And the food was the high point... Went there three hours before closing... No plates, no silverware (a sit down meal from foam to go boxes and weird bamboo disposable cutlery no worries about cutting through the bottom the foam box). Waitress was kind of blunt and gruff. No curry chicken or fried chicken (they were done .... three hours before close). Two different music stations playing at the same time.
