Oh what a place. it's a local diner thst serves affordable meals. don't expect the world from this place but they do have pretty epic pancakes. I always get coffee here but it's so so. honestly it's a diner and you get what you get.

I’ve visited this restaurant several times, and I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere. The service is excellent, and my waitress was particularly attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The food tastes very fresh, and I highly recommend this place.

We ate here several times while we were in Silver Spring. The food was outstanding and the staff was friendly and courteous. The diner atmosphere brought you back in time. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was excellent! The wait for our meals was brief. Our boys loved their waffles and pancakes. It was so thoughtful of our waiter to go out of his way to accommodate our 8-year-old's request for his preferred way to have his waffles. We would definitely eat here again!

05Sep22. Maybe because of staffing issues; maybe because of the time of day....This really wasn't what I expected. My bacon was too hard. My wife's bacon was too soft. We didn't get water or soda refilled. My wife didn't get her pancake until, basically,after the meal was over. Service was slow. I only gave a 3 because of the history of the Diner.

I heard a short bite while my kid was on a show at the movie. I have a T-bone and two sides. Must admit, I didn't expect what I did. The staff was great. They were all very nice and worked well like a team. My steak was perfect and really spicy. I wish I had taken pictures, but once I tasted my meal, I really forgot to take them. I enjoyed the speedy service as I went after the rush. I ordered the steak and eggs with home fries. It came out quickly, much to my delight. The food was not bad, however, the cut of steak made it a little tough I ordered it medium). The home fries weregood, but they could've kept the onions on the grill for a bit longer. Overall, for the price $21 with tip), it was worth it. Ijust know to avoid the steak.

Went here for breakfast this past weekend. Very short wait and friendly staff. Your standard diner with great staff and really good food. All the stuff we got was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The biscuits and gravy was especially yummy! Ourwaitress was awesome and did a great job especially as she had a huge number of tables to wait. Super friendly and alwaysaround. Overall great location for a good and great priced breakfast. I highly recommend!

In the first 15 minutes, I witnessed a few kitchen mishaps (like dropped plates), cooks who were so overwhelmed they had to slow down the seating, and locals chatting with the staff about upcoming events. I genuinely felt at home here, and the food was simply fantastic and reasonably priced—where else can you find this anymore? Well, you'll find it at the Tastee Diner. The coffee was excellent, and the waitstaff was friendly and engaging. The food might not be the healthiest choice, but you'll definitely leave with a smile!
