Been here a few times before and have enjoyed it. This time not so much. It was my daughters graduation from North Shore College the crowd was minimal. Service was very slow, food was warm at best the food orders were not correct. It was a disappointment. I hope this was a one time thing and not a trend. Voir le carte

The place was not very busy the night we were there. But yet we sat for a while before a waitress stopped at our table. Took too long to get our drinks and had to ask for menus after the drinks were finally delivered. The food was only okay. Combining service and food. Tavern would not be my go to place for a quick meal.

the service was terrible. will never come back.my friend asked about fish and chips, but asked to replace kartoffels, and he said she could not because it “fish and chips”. never checked for us,Never took the menus after we had ordered, never deleted the table after we were finished. we will never be back, and we will never recommend this restaurant to any of our friends

they prefer what is a plus, but after that nothing seemed right. children ordered a drink that should have been harvested, but they replaced cranberries instead. the woman ordered half a carafe wein, but they were all out and never told her. they brought her a glass instead. I ordered chili with my dinner that never arrived. the hugging and the wadling were ok, but the teig for the wadling is super sweet as a sugar cookie. We waited extremely long to be sat, then waited even longer for drink orders and then to even get our drinks. The waitress dumped half my draft beer down my shirt and said sorry, but that was it. I don’t expect much, but I’d think she would have comped my drink or a free app, seeing I was soaked and embarrassed by getting a drink dumped on me. Not to mention, it was our First Ladies night out in forever and I have 3 year old twins and was excited to have adult time. This isn’t about the waitress, but just the backup to my excitement of being out and then soaked by a drink I waited 20 minutes for. She did nothing for us and I would not recommend this place. My wife and I go to Salem every October. We decided to try this place for dinner with our 18 month old son. We informed our server that he has a dairy and egg allergy and ordered him pasta with sauce and steamed broccoli. Our son ended up having an allergic reaction to the food and when we asked the server she told us that we never told her about any allergies. Another server told us the pasta had egg in it and then the manager camenoht and contradicted him telling us it didn’t. They ended up only taking the $6 meal off the bill. My good was ok, but my wife ordered Mac and cheese with buffalo chicken. Instead of buffalo chicken they just put buffalo sauce in the cheese with plain chicken. We...

We made reservations an hour before we arrived in Salem. When we walked in, most of the tables and all of the outside dining was empty. That should have clued us in to the type of meal we would get. We chose to continue. The waitress was lackluster at best. They did accommodate our group of 6 by putting 2 tables together but as the entire restaurant only had a few people I’d have been surprised if they hadn’t. The tavern only had a few entrees but we did select the tots from the appetizer menu. It was the only thing we enjoyed. The chicken pasta was fatty and chewy.
