This place is a treat I recommend there eat your greens salad and the pork melt the burger wasn't bad either I e eaten here about a dozen times since I've been in town and I haven't had a bad meal yet from there Voir le carte

This place is very charming. Good coffee and a good breakfast burrito. I'll be back soon to try some of their korean-ish stuff that looks pretty good. I'm always looking for excuses to go cruising around here and the Altamont General Store is a solid destination.

Occidental is a small town but The Altamont General Store is a huge space. There's tons of indoor seating and a great patio area shaded by a large tree. Dogs are welcome out front. The whole menu looked delicious and unique. I was feeling basic and got the Avocado Smash which was far from basic! I loved the arugula salad, soft boiled egg and pickled onions. The passion fruit tea was fabulous and perfectly refreshing. All of the staff was very friendly. Super cute spot and will definitely come back next time we're in the area. Voir le carte

Oh my this is a super find.We drove up from Marin had a great drive along the coast and then stopped at this general store restaurant. The food is super we had this amazing crab salad with a special dressing include from including kimchi yeah I know may not sound so great amazing.If you're not gluten-free don't read this, but there is amazing amazing gluten-free options including this killer chocolate caramel shortbread that is pictured here with ice cream topper. Don't walk, run to this restaurant. One of my favorite spots in the USA.. Don't miss this!

Mixed review. My lunch was a 5-star experience; I absolutely loved the Chicken Katsu sandwich, which had fantastic flavor and a good portion size. However, my husband’s meal received only 3 stars. He ordered the Chicken Bowl, and although it was large, it was overly spicy to the point where he couldn't eat it. There should have been a warning about the spice level or at least an option for a sauce on the side. Additionally, even though there appeared to be plenty of seating available, none of the tables had been cleaned off. It seemed like someone needed to check on that more frequently.

Nestled in a charming historic building, it has been remodeled with a modern aesthetic, featuring a unique menu. They offer a variety of food options along with an impressive selection of barista-style coffee beverages. My husband and I decided to share Mary’s free-range chicken Katsu Sando along with a side of fries. The chicken was panko-crusted and packed with flavor, complemented by tonkatsu sauce, yuzu aioli, slaw, and pickled onions, all served on a fresh banh mi roll. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our sandwich also came with house-made potato chips.
