I'm a tourist at New Orleans. We discovered this small restaurant while walking this afternoon. The experience was excellent: the onion soup, the salad, and the nice attention, even though we arrived out of schedule (3:15 pm). I recommend it for sure, slightly pricely, just as everything else at New Orleans.

this is an adorable little french restaurant in a former home on octavia. there were only two other tables the night we were there, and our server jon took impeccable care of all of us. the wine was great. the onion soup was perfect, just what i had been craving. i loved it from the moment i walked in to the moment i left. the coq au vin was not that great, but my date loved his steak au poivre. raspberry sorbet was perfect.

Not worth it! It seems like they purchase the cheapest ingredients available. I ordered the New York strip for $40, and every bite was packed with fat. My girlfriend had the BBQ shrimp for $30, which came with only 7 shrimp—definitely not jumbo. Then came the bill, and they automatically added a 20% gratuity for just the two of us. My family came here for Christmas Day last year (2015) and were very pleased with our meals. I find that a lot of the menu items were either a huge hit or miss. I started with the escargot, very well seasoned, nice and buttery. Then we had the barbecue shrimp and that was my favorite part of the whole dining experience. If you come to this restaurant you must get the shrimp, the sauce is so good and the shrimps are huge. I split the NY strip and the red fish dish with another person at my table. A large group of friends and I decided to eat here last night. We made a reservation for about 16. The majority of the time we were there, we were the only people there. When we arrived, there were two people at another table. The were gone by the time we were getting our appetizers. We all ordered drinks and entrees. We enjoyed our food and each other 's company.
