"I had a deeply disappointing experience at the Pound Ridge Inn that I feel compelled to share. My sister and I, both new mothers, had decided to have a relaxing evening out to enjoy a drink and a meal by the bar. Given the unpredictable schedules of our babies, we hadn't made reservations, and we hoped to find a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere at this establishment. Unfortunately, our visit last winter left us feeling frustrated and unwelcome. Upon arriving, we were met with our first sign of trouble when the car valet informed us that the restaurant wasn't opening until 4 pm. We understood that, so we left the premises and returned approximately 30 minutes later. After valeting our car, we entered the restaurant, hopeful that our evening would improve. However, our optimism quickly waned as the host staff informed us that they wouldn't be serving dinner for another 15 minutes. We kindly asked if we could sit and wait, explaining that we had already valeted our car and had no place else to go. This is when our evening took a turn for the worse. Another host, a person who clearly didn't understand the concept of hospitality, rudely interjected and scolded us, instructing us to wait outside. We were told that we were not welcome to sit by the bar or even on their couches. The tone and attitude of this person were not just unwelcoming; they were incredibly mean and condescending. We promptly decided to leave, shocked at the blatant lack of hospitality and empathy shown to us. It's disheartening that we were treated with such snobbishness, especially as two new mothers who had hoped to enjoy a relaxing evening at the Pound Ridge Inn. The incident left us with a bad taste in our mouths, figuratively speaking, and we were both taken aback by how poorly we were treated. It's unfortunate to have to write a negative review for an establishment that could have offered us a pleasant experience, but I feel it's important to share our unfortunate encounter. I sincerely hope that the Pound Ridge Inn takes customer service and inclusivity seriously, as no one should be made to feel as unwelcome as we were during our visit. I genuinely hope that our feedback is heard, and the Pound Ridge Inn can take steps to improve their customer service and overall hospitality."

We had a wonderful evening at The Inn as the world reopens. Every course was perfect and the service was excellent. We adore everyone at this restaurant. Voir le carte

I was really let down by my dining experience at this restaurant. The service was terrible and the food was just average. I definitely won't be returning anytime soon.

We were able to make a same day reservation for the lounge. We went in for drinks and snacks, essentially. Everything was very good. The menu had a few vegetarian options. The menu was just a tad dated, with the flavor combinations and ingredients thatwere super popular in the fine dining places a couple of years ago. Service was fine. The cocktail menu was interesting, and thedrinks were very good, although the presentation was not very creative. The crowd was upscale, the dress code was businesscasual. The ambiance was nice (although as a personal preference I don't like TVs with sports on them for me, that detracts. As good as it gets 50 miles outside of the city. ????

We’ve been to Inn at Pound Ridge multiple times and this time (10/14/23) we had an extremely disappointing experience. We set at the bar and ordered food and drinks. Food was alright. The service was abysmal, with staff appearing disinterested and inattentive. Nobody cleaned up dishes for over half an hour and even after we asked to clean it up still had to wait for too long. We had to wait 20 minutes for the round of drinks while the bartender was texting on his phone. Then apparently forgot about our order. Then we asked second bartender that only appeared for 5 minutes to make us drinks half an hour after we initially placed our order. He made it with the wrong liquor. I looked around and...

"We had been looking forward to finally trying this place, not too far from our home, for my wife 's birthday. We had an astoundingly bad dinner. To start, we were greeted by the host, dressed on a Staurday night in faded jeans, with one pocket sticking out. Casual. Very. We had reservations, and asked for a table outside. The host rolled his eyes, said he 'd have to see if it was possible. He looked at his list, turned away from us, took two steps back, looked through a mostly obstructed front window, and without turning back to us, picked up 3 menus and said, I guess we can do it. No smile, no welcome, no warmth. The perfunctory, distracted attitude was the theme of the night, although we noticed that regulars were greeted differently. Our waiter wasted little time on small talk. Do you want drinks? What can I get you? Fine. All night, wait staff walked by our table without picking up empty plates, refilling water, etc. Our food was, to be charitable, mediocre. Turkey meat loaf was an unseasoned brick of ground turkey, burned in spots, served with frozen ! peas and carrots literally scattered over the mashed potatoes, which had the watery consistency of a puree, covered in a mustard colored very watery gravy that further deprived the potatoes of any flavor or character. My daughter 's mac and cheese was similarly bland, my wife 's shrimp dish was watery, oily, and flavorless. This was food that received no skill or care in the kitchen. The host stopped at our table, asked how the meal was, no eye contact. My wife answered, charitably but with serious concern, that it was okay, her inflection clear that it not good food. At any other restaurant where we 've dined, that would have brought a concerned follow-up question, what was wrong? What can we do for you? Here, nothing. He walked away. No response. We ordered a dessert to split, it was a birthday. Key Lime Tart. The crust wasn 't bad. Flavorless, watery, watery topping. Never again."

"The food (roast chicken, spaghetti, rigatoni, veal, and sides) was ordinary, the gluten-free pasta overcooked and soggy. Worse, the owner was rude, rigid and belligerent. We were a party of 9 in their so-called formal dining room, a few feet away from their casual dining room. My grandson ordered a gluten-free pizza from the other room, but we were told that they don 't serve their pizzas in the formal dining room, even though the pizzas are on their online menu along with all their other options. We asked why not but she insisted that was their policy and they haven 't changed their policy in over 40 years. When we asked if she would make an exception since my grandson and his father can only eat gluten free she told us that we could all move to the other room but she wouldn 't serve pizza in her formal dining room. Our large party had already been seated and were about to order, and there were no other customers in the room. She refused to let the waiter walk the five extra feet into the formal dining room, so my grandson sat through dinner without food while we all ate. She said we could order his pizza, have it boxed up, and take it home, but he couldn 't eat it in the dining room. And we could leave if we didn 't like her rules. We found her rigidity and rude behavior outrageous. There is nothing formal about their formal dining room except a tablecloth added to the tables. After we ordered, they also informed us that they didn 't have the gluten-free bread on the menu either. This restaurant is not worth your trip, not for the food or the service. There are many finer restaurants in the area. Two waiters apologized for the owner, but it 's still not worth the bother."
