Lakeside Inn - Carte

We had a reservation for brunch at 11:30, and when we arrived, there was only one other table occupied. It was clear that the buffet hadn't been replenished, and the Eggs Benedict were completely dried out. I had the hummus toast, while my friend ordered something else that was disappointing. It's such a shame because this place is usually fantastic!

We spoke with John and informed him that we had a service dog. He insisted that we needed a certificate. I showed him the ADA website, explaining that there are no certificates required for service animals and that what he was doing was against the law. He wasn't allowed to refuse us service, but he did so anyway. I will be notifying the ADA, and you may be facing a fine as a result. Enjoy that!

It’s quite nice! Although the location might seem a bit unusual at first, the rooms are really charming. I think it’s just an old building, but it’s well-maintained—clean, no unpleasant odors, and no bugs (unlike some other places I've stayed). If you manage to get a room with a water view, you might hear a few ducks quacking in the morning. Overall, for the price, it’s a pretty great place to stay! Voir le carte

Honestly in hindsight I can’t believe I slept here. The bed was comfortable but the room smelled strongly like secondhand smoke and mold to the point where breathing deeply felt unhealthy. The sheets were stained, gum stuck to the bedside table, fruit flies crawling around, thin walls. I did a cursory check for bedbugs and found nothing but now seeing other comments I wish I’d been more thorough. Made it out largely unscathed but will not be returning anytime soon.

The entire staff at this restaurant is outstanding, especially Tamera in the evening; she's truly wonderful. The location is excellent, and you can tell the team genuinely cares about the establishment. However, I must mention Karen—she is by far the most unpleasant person I've encountered. I believe she would be better suited for a different role, as her attitude towards customers, particularly those with disabilities, is quite poor. She comes across as rude, and there are hints of potential bias in her behavior. If it weren't for her, this experience would easily warrant a five-star rating. To future visitors, be cautious of Karen—she's not pleasant to deal with.

This place is truly revolting!! Management clearly is trying to make some efforts to fix the place up, but it's too little, too late. The smell is what hits you the most. They haven't cleaned out their AC units in way too long; the mold and bacteria buildup might make you very ill if you stay here. Be warned! The carpet clearly needs to be replaced. The WIFI is awfully slow, and I see a WIFI extender/repeater, which most probably is causing duplex issues and slowing it down. The bed and bathroom are clean, which was nice, but as I said, just a little too little, too late. If I could rate a zero, that’s what it’d be. This place was TERRIBLE. We had 2 rooms booked, one for my husband and myself and one for my mother and brother for a weekend trip for my birthday. We were at the hotel maybe an hour fighting to get our money back. Our room was filthy, the tub water didn’t turn off, the stains in the room almost looked like dry blood, the bed was FILTHY with what looked like urine, feces, and blood stains, and the room smelled horribly like cat urine. There were bugs in the room, and spiders fell out of the blanket when moved to check the bed. The other room had even more stains that resembled blood, there were splatters up the door and on the smoke detector that...

Driving up to this hotel, you question the good reviews and the photos. It looks like an abandoned apartment building. Very dated. The hotel is clearly in the beginning stages of a remodel. They seem to need the business to help pay for it. The loby was nice and clean and the staff was super nice.Our room #200 for two adults with a king bed had fresh paint. I am assuming newer furniture, but it was pretty beat up. The linens were thin, and bedspread was dated. The carpet was very stained. Have flip flops on hand. I wish I could give this hotel less than zero.. Our bed had a brown/red stain on the side of the mattress. I showed the photo to the front desk clerk. The desk clerk offered to move us to a new room, but it would not be a comparable room with a lakeview. We had some type of compressor outside our window. So, the A/C unit was noisy. The carpeting had grass stains and mud from the walkup stairs. There is no elevator. Construction workers stay at the hotel consequently their boots carry all types of matter up the staircase.
