"Loved the Bahn mi crunchwrap I had on day one of my Valdez visit and probably loved the chicken mission burrito even a little more on day two! Guacamole was a little boring but housemade chips kinda made up for it. "Attention out-of-town visitors: proceed with caution. We entered the diner and sat at the bar for over 15 minutes without being approached to place our order. What was particularly frustrating was that the server attended to three locals who arrived after us. When I brought this to her attention, she only giggled and laughed off my concerns. I requested to speak with the owner, who was not present, and the supervisor on duty refused to address the issue as well. I was advised to return the next day to speak with the owner. I can assure you that this is how they treat all out-of-town guests. Save your money and dine elsewhere in town where they actually value your business. The old town diner clearly does not."

"Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to try the pizza and local beer that had been mentioned in earlier reviews. The restaurant was a little busy,but there was no wait for a table. The wait staff was extremely friendly, but not very attentive during our visit. Our poor experience began with some badly burned cheesy bread (see picture) and a long wait for our beer. The pizza was good , although it wasn’t warm throughout, it was much better reheated in our air fryer the next day. The waiter did have them remove the cheesy bread from our bill , which was greatly appreciated. As far as the location and ambiance, the restaurant is well decorated with a great location overlooking the docks. The poor rating is related to the apparent lack of quality assurance on behalf of the waiter, management, and chef along with the long delays for services. I might try this place again, but only after seeing a large number of better reviews."

"I can't comment on the quality of the food or drinks since we never received any. My husband and two friends simply wanted a drink and an appetizer, so we chose to sit at the bar. After waiting 20 minutes without any acknowledgment, we were finally told that we couldn't order just drinks because it was too busy. There were only three tables occupied! The bartender explained that she couldn't serve us right away and that we would have to wait if we wanted anything. The service was incredibly disappointing! During the time we sat there listening to her excuses for why she couldn't serve us, she could have easily poured two beers and two glasses of wine, taken a food order, and delivered it to a four-person table.
