"My wife and I visited this restaurant for dinner to evaluate it as a potential venue for a bridal shower. We hoped to get a feel for the place beforehand. Upon arrival, we were seated promptly, but we ended up waiting 15 minutes for our waitress to take our drink orders. When she finally returned, we ordered an appetizer along with our main courses. Despite the dining room being nearly empty, we had to wait a long time for our food to arrive. She brought our salads first, and after another lengthy wait, we finally received our main courses. Unfortunately, our appetizer never made it to our table. When I brought this to the waitress's attention, she suggested that perhaps it had been delivered to another table, explaining that a large party was occupying another section of the restaurant and that the kitchen was overwhelmed. She reassured us that we wouldn’t be charged for the appetizer we never received. What a nice gesture. After finishing our main courses, we again waited quite a while for the check. Throughout the meal, we were not offered refills on our drinks nor asked if we wanted dessert. As a result, we will definitely not be booking a room for the bridal shower, and it's very unlikely that I'll return for another meal. The food was mediocre at best. In our 35 years of marriage, it was the first time I saw my wife add salt to her food, as she felt it needed some flavor. To be fair, when I spoke with the manager about our disappointing experience, he offered to cover the bill, though that wasn’t my intention for the conversation, and I declined his courteous offer. If I could rate the service zero stars, I certainly would."

Excellent salad bar! I enjoyed the Bison meatloaf dinner, which was tasty but could use a bit less liquid smoke. The service was fantastic, especially dining on the terrace! They also welcome dogs!

I had only been here years ago for their brunch which was always delicious but this past week we went for dinner and the food, service, and, atmosphere was top notch. Will be back to try more menu items.

The salad bar was excellent. I ordered a steak for $46 and was really looking forward to it. While it was slightly overcooked, I could manage that. However, it was extremely bland—there was actually more seasoning on the asparagus. Even after adding salt and pepper, the steak still lacked flavor. I even asked someone else at our table to confirm that it wasn't just me. We mentioned it to the waitress, who apologized, saying it was one of their newer menu items. When we received our bill, we were mistakenly charged for an item we didn't order, but they did remove that charge. Unfortunately, they didn't offer any compensation for the steak, which they took back. Voir le carte

Party of four for lunch just before noon and were seated right away. Always a pleasure and the salad bar with soup is a fresh treat. Ordered the French onion soup included in the price, so cheesy good! Service always too notch. Prices a bit higher but atmosphere, freshness, and cleanliness warrant it. Vegetarian options: Salad bar offers many options. Dietary restrictions: I’m primarily gluten free and salad bar gave many options although not labeled. There were no gluten free soup options. Parking: At lunch, plenty of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Standard handicap parking and generous sized restroom areas. Restaurant very spacious to accommodate a wheelchair in any dining room.

We stayed next door at the Holiday Inn a couple times and we have eaten here 2 times. I personally like the layout and the location as there are not too many bigger restaurants like Thunder Bay in the area. Now the food is honestly sometimes confusing. They have some dishes that are very good and others that are just bad it's weird how things vary so much. Being in the business consistency is key and I see that being one problem and another is their recipes are little off. For example their bruschetta had melted goat cheese on it and it killed the whole flavor of the dish. The salads were good and the chicken and shrimp were great. We will keep trying different dishes when we're in the area....

I ordered the Beef Wellington with Parmesan Garlic Potatoes and the salad bar. Oh my goodness, the salad bar was fantastic! It featured two soups and all the fixings to create a truly delicious salad. We also ordered the four cheese stuffed mushrooms, which were incredible. However, I was disappointed with the Beef Wellington. The puff pastry was undercooked; I was really hoping for a nicely golden brown crust. As you can see in the photos, it wasn't flaky at all. My husband also had the Beef Wellington, paired with fries and asparagus, and he agreed that the crust wasn't cooked properly either. Despite this, we would definitely return to try other items on the menu. The decor is also notewo... Voir le carte

We had 10 am Sunday brunch reservations. When we walked up to go in the restaurant there was a big cardboard box that was laying on the sidewalk that needed to be removed. Walking hazard. There was 4 family members in our party. We got our food and started to eat. The food was ice cold!! The sausage was over cooked and the cheesey potatoes were uncooked, they crunched when you took a bite. We were very displeased, we did talk to the manager and she removed $25.00 from our bill. But we left hungry and very unsatisfied. I can say the salad bar looked delicious but who wants salad at 10 am. We alway go to the Fox Hounds for brunch but wanted to try something local. I've eaten at the Thunderbay...

Nothing spectacular and everything is around $25 or up besides the burgers and appetizers. The bison meatballs were horrible I couldn?t even eat them. My boyfriend got the chubby sirloin and he said it was dry but the flavor was great. I got the impossible burger and it wasn?t anything special. The French onion soup was good but not the best I?ve ever had. They give you complimentary bread with oil for dipping. It would have been nice if the oil had some herbs in it but it was just plain oil. Looking at the menu the salads were expensive and made with iceberg lettuce which isn?t expensive so not sure why the salads were so pricey. Also the burgers only come with cheese and a brioche bun and...

"OVERPRICED AND OVERRATED. Since Gyros West closed, we have been trying different fish fries in the Waukesha area. We ordered our food on-line. Near the end of the ordering process, there was a message regarding a surcharge for on-line orders. This notification should be near the beginning of the process. Also, this begs the question: Why should I pay a surcharge for an on-line order? When I am saving the business on labor cost by entering the order/credit card information myself. Honestly, this wasn 't a huge deal, but did start the interaction off with a bad taste in our mouths. The cod fish fry was tender and quite flavorful. We had no complaints with the quality of the product. However, the portion size was ridiculously small. It was on par with a kids meal. Each cod fish stick was consumed with only two bites. The portion size should be larger and/or the price should be lower. Out of all the many fish fries we have tried in Wauesha this one was by far the lowest on the price/value quotient. The quart of the New England Clam Chowder was very watery, lacked flavor, and had few clams. The broth should be the thick and creamy. Honestly, it appeared the Rochester Deli was running low on product and watered it down. We had to add a fair amount of Penzey 's seasonings for our taste buds. The clams were few and far between (unlike the potatoes), cut into very small pieces; but yet, were very tough and chewy. Honestly, the best part of the chowder was the oyster crackers. For our Friday fish fry needs, we have crossed off Rochester Deli from our list as there are much better options available in Waukesha. UPDATED 4/10/24 I took the time out of my busy day to submit an objective, honest review which included your New England Clam Chowder. You discredited my review by stating it was unkind and inaccurate. When I lived in Las Vegas, I had the opportunity to sample some of the world 's best chowder at the various oyster bars. I can assure you, your New England Clam Chowder on my visit, fell short on the world 's stage. I stand by my objective, honest review. Thank you, Mark"
