"I can’t believe I didn't know about Ethio Beans until a month ago. I am so jazzed, I don't have to drive to Chicago anymore to get my fix of eating with injera generous portions of door wat, misir wat, and tibs. The space is simple, with a few tables, and some decorations, with a small shop where one can buy Ethiopian closing, coffee sets, and food ingredients. Service was warm and friendly, we had a nice conversation with the owner/cook/server about Erhiopia I got to share my experience when visiting my daughter in Aleltu. The food was fresh, cooked on the spot to order, flavorful, earthy, spicy, and fragrant. The Lentil Sambusas were crispy and flaky with a perfect ratio of pastry and filling. I will be coming back often, and perhaps ask for a Habesha coffee ceremony to enjoy with friends."

"From 9/29/21: Anyways must have changed kitchen staff recently. This is my second disappointing order in a row. The pretzel sticks are burnt and as hard as a rock. There is no way these should have been served. Please view video with this review. I want you to see what I mean. From 2020/ original review: I wish I had taken pictures but I literally inhaled everything I ordered and am now sitting here trying to fend off a food coma. The Italian beef egg rolls are amazing. A tad bit on the salty side but crispy on the outside, hot and spicy on the inside and overall delicious. The cool ranch wrap was incredible. Upgraded the side item to the Black and Tan onion rings, another good choice on my part. The guac was so flavorful, but I didn’t try the salsa that came with it because I ordered 2 desserts the molten chocolate cake and key lime pie. If you love rich chocolatey desserts, go for the molten cake. You won’t regret it. The key lime pie was light, tart and creamy. "

"YIKES... Not from the area and stopped in for breakfast with friends. Got sat quickly which was really nice...and then it went downhill from there. They shoved us at a small table and proceeded to put everything under the sun on the table, leaving us little space (group of 5). Large portions but the food was TERRIBLE. Hashbrowns were white and uncooked for our entire group. We got the butcher block omelet for two of us and it was overcooked; additionally the ham and three cheese omelet was overcooked. Pancakes taste like cardboard. The other meals for our group were sub par at best. I am truly amazed this place has 4.5 stars... really really bad food honestly."

"I always said the Bloomingdale location had the best Ruben Corn Beef Sandwich. Better than some Jewish Deli's. The last time I visited was prior to COVID-19. Earlier this spring we decided to try this location. What a disappointment. The waitress did not refill our coffee...... as we had to ask her several times to do so. Her personality was lackluster. She is of some Eastern European descent. Ordered the Ruben and boy oh boy what a disappointment!! The owner must have cut corners because the corned beef is of poor quality. It can seriously be compared to pressed lunch meat like Budig brand from years ago. It was not the usual cut slices of substance as prior. The bread was soggy. The whole sandwich was thrown together like a child made it. I am not sure if the same Greek owner as Bloomingdale owns this location. The problem is when you expand your locations to many..... You spread yourself thin and this is the end result. I am sorry to say but Honey Berry is our new go-to. Roselle and Hoffman locations."

"This has quickly become my 'go to ' place for sushi. I 've had quite a variety of their rolls, and everything was quite good! In-person dining is best described as intimate owing to the small size of the restaurant. If you 're claustrophobic, this might be off putting. Seems clean; a bit heavy on dark wood. Service was efficient, though the woman that served our table during my first visit seemed overwhelmed (I believe she was the sole server). Poor thing! My preference is to order for takeout so I can pig out in private at home. If you love the spicy kick of wasabi as I do, don 't hesitate to ask for extra--they 'll readily compliment your order with more. Overall, good quality sushi in terms of sizes of the rolls and taste, at price points that won 't cause considerable angst. I can, and do, recommend Abishari with great ease."
