"I wanted a change from Tropea’s restaurant scene and local friends recommended Manitta. It’s more expensive and sophisticated than Franco/Casareccio, also in Brattiro’. Manitta has the advantage of a beautiful outdoor eating area. Service is friendly and obliging and a small foul up was quickly and graciously straightened out. To start with I was brought tasty complimentary nduja. I decided to go full meat and started with a delicious pasta in pig ragu’ (not so common on restaurant menus), the highlight of my meal. This was followed by baked goat, which was flavoursome but it proved quite hard work amassing enough meat from the bone and fat. Pudding was a bergamot tartufo apparently made locally which wasn’t to my taste (hints of detergent) but maybe I don’t like bergamot; can’t think when I’d have tried it before. Overall, I don’t feel I ordered as well as I might have my bad so I’m awarding 5 stars for the terrace, the service and the pork ragu’ and in anticipation of the next visit."

"we booked dinner in this place at suggestion of friends: I must say it was a good advice! as soon as we arrived we were impressed by the position: nice music, friendly staff, chic and elegant environment. we have selected several courses: tropea roll, roll head (sushi revisited with the flavors of the place,) red shrimps of mazara and pistachio (good good,) chopped fillet in pistachio crust of bronte and flakes of bread flavored (beautiful to the view and delicious to the palate,) cocktail of contemporary shrimps, friggimento calamari, other sushi. to conclude the lace truffle at the delicious pistachio! between us there was a celiac and he didn't even have any trouble dining. the idea of accompanying dinner with a cocktail (inviting) instead of the classic wine was very welcome. kind, attentive and friendly staff. the price maybe a little too high, besides The order “do it yourself” through the app is definitely avant-garde but less practical for those who are less intelligent. I recommend it absolutely."

"One evening we where on the way to an recommended place, but it was closed. Also it was quit late, so we searched for a restaurant and we found this place. It was a cosey place, also when it was already quit cold outside. The waiter reacted quit fast and took our orders and was also able to give me an recommendation, because the kitchen run out of tuna. The dishes we had at our first visit, pesce spada, pasta and some antipasto i cant remember was good, the pasta with onions was really good so good that I had to smuggle some onions with me in the plane. When we visited this place the second time, it was a total flow. We tried the antipasto arancio, which wasn't that nice, we had also a pizza marinara as an starter and the marinara was more a less a biscotto with tomato on top. I really have to say, that I eat marinara quit often because for me, it is the best pizza, if it is well made. The rest of our dishes where okay, but nothing special. So the total opposite of our first visit. Also the waiter was at this time not that attentively to us, like in the first and there where not more customers. So I really do not know what I should think about this place, one time the staff and food was good, the second time it was only disappointing. For the people who sit in front of the menu and think about the antipasto arancio, what could it be? It is just a plate with mixed antipasto, even if they serve very tasty marinated oranges with the pesce spada."
