"The cafe offers excellent sandwiches and pastries, but I had a disappointing experience when I received a sandwich with moldy provolone cheese. It was surprising that the staff didn't notice the green mold on the white cheese during preparation. I politely requested a remake with cheddar, but they brought it out with pepper jack instead. Unfortunately, by the time I got my meal, my kids had already finished theirs, and they didn't offer any compensation, like a discount or a free pastry. I've been a loyal customer for 28 years, so I was quite let down by this visit."

"I had an amazing birthday celebration at this restaurant. We came in for dinner at 4 PM, so it wasn't very crowded. Our waitress, Chelsea, was exceptionally accommodating, especially since it was my first time dining out in my oversized wheelchair. She ensured that we were seated at a table where I could fit comfortably. The food surpassed our expectations and was absolutely delicious. The octopus was the best we've ever had, and both the Chilean sea bass and lamb chops were cooked to perfection. This meal was definitely the best we've experienced at this restaurant. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a wonderful dining experience."

"First, the food is absolutely delicious and by itself is worthy of a five-star rating. What makes this place stand out for us are Sam and George, the husband-and-wife owners. He runs the kitchen and she runs the dining room. George is happy to explain everything on the menu, and make suggestions. His help was most appreciated, and we ordered things we may not have otherwise ordered. Everything was amazing! Sam, from the moment we arrived, proved herself to be the funnier of the two. She clearly enjoys what she does, and loves making people laugh. She had us in stitches, and we still chuckle about her a month later. If you live in San Diego, or you are just visiting, go to Alforon! You will not be disappointed."

"Located in a strip mall with ample free parking, Antica Trattoria 's decor has a cozy, authentic Italian feel with different textures and al fresco style paintings on the walls. There is some limited outdoor seating looks like seating left over from Covid days in the parking lot). The music was a little loud and non fitting, but the atmosphere was vibrant. The food was good and portions were generous. I always judge a restaurant by its bread and this restaurant had excellent bread! Very fresh and doughy I could have eaten the whole basket! The freshly made generous portion of tiramisu for dessert was also excellent. $13, May 2023) Service was swift and committed a few 'faux pas ' in my book. First, they removed my plate before my dining partner was finished and then the waiter verbally announced the list of desserts as said dining partner was still finishing eating their entree. We could only remember half of the desserts a paper dessert menu would have been appreciated). About 2 seconds after dessert was delivered, the bill was placed on the table without asking if we wanted coffee or anything else. I understand we had a 90 minute window in which to dine as is common nowadays in the USA), but we were well within that window. We would have appreciated not feeling rushed, particularly since it was Mother 's Day, a special occasion. That and slightly high prices were why I took off a star."

"I spent over $60 at this place last night, and even included a tip of $10.....This has got to be the worst Thai restaurant in San Diego. The Orange chicken was stale, the 8 tinny noodles in the bottom tasted like plastic.. The curry was hardlyacceptable, but better than the orange chicken. I'll never eat here again. Ever. I'm not that hard to please, but this wasscraping the bottom of the barrel."
