"If I could offer one piece of advice, it would be to rephrase the way you ask about reservations. Asking, "Do you have reservations?" can come off as a bit off-putting. There are plenty of dining options in Havre de Grace, and if someone chooses to visit your restaurant, it might be better to phrase it differently, such as, "Table for two? Sure! Did you happen to make a reservation?" If the parking lot is packed, it's clear that reservations might be needed. But if I’m walking in with an empty stomach and am surrounded by several other choices, it feels a little awkward to be asked about reservations when you're going to seat us anyway. That said, the food is really good!"

Super seafood restaurant. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service and the food was delicious. It closed relatively early but I highly recommend a visit!

The outdoor picnic setting is simple yet relaxing, and the Amtrak trains passing nearby add a fun touch. I have nothing negative to say about this place; it's absolutely worth a trip to Havre de Grace just to eat here. The prices are in line with quality seafood, and even a bit lower than some other nearby restaurants. Just go—you won't regret it!

The crab cakes are what we came for and were not disappointed. If you get there closer to dusk, you can also watch some ladies feeding and chasing stray cats in the rocks across the street by the Susquehanna River. This restaurant offers a fantastic atmosphere with stunning views. The alligator tail and oysters were the highlights of my meal—definitely must-tries! Unfortunately, the clams I ordered that day weren't fresh, and the bread bowl was a bit salty, although it was packed with crab meat. The crab hush puppies had more breading than I preferred. On the bright side, the prices are very reasonable.

We had an amazing experience. I had the steamed seafood trio, crab hush puppies, the table shared the bread bowl fondue, and everyone said their meal and sides were excellent. They even gave birthday gifts to the two people in our party who were celebrating! The service was amazing, food was incredible... one of our most memorable meals ever. We rang the bell and tipped the kitchen on the way out! Kid-friendliness: Crayons, pirate coloring page, AND stickers!

We visited this charming restaurant on our way to New York, and we had a wonderful experience. The kids enjoyed the grilled shrimp, which was served with fries, juice, and a decadently rich chocolate brownie. For ourselves, we tried the cream chowder, hush puppies, and the Cobb salad topped with lump crab meat. While the first two dishes were a bit on the sweet side for our taste, the salad was outstanding. We also ordered a half dozen oysters, which were excellent. The service was very friendly, and the restroom was impeccably clean. We highly recommend this place! Voir le carte

We visited this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived right on time and were promptly seated. To our delight, there was a lovely card and a beautifully decorated oyster shell gift waiting for us at the table. While they offered only beer and wine, it was not an issue for us. The appetizers and main courses were absolutely fantastic, and the dessert was also very enjoyable. The staff was attentive but respectful of our space, making for a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. If you decide to go, be sure to remember to tip the kitchen! Service: Dine-in.

Visited this charming, quaint, laid back seafood restaurant in October. Beautiful Fall day, eating seafood and overlooking the water. The owner is a delight, the staff attentive, and the food is on point. Best fish and chips I've had in a long time. The cole slaw is definitely the best restaurant recipe I've ever had. Not too creamy not too dry and an appropriate amount of seasoning. My wife's seafood sub....holy cow.... delicious. The bread in particular was fluffy and light but still held it's own with all the sauce, shrimp, and scallops that were stuff in. Can't recommend this place enough and will definitely return.

"We visited Backfin Blues De Graw for Sunday brunch. We placed a reservation for 1pm at about noon just in case but there was not a wait to be seated for our party of four. This is what we ordered. There was an order of the crab omelet with sweet potato tots and an english muffin. The omelet was cooked well with a decent amount of crab in almost every bite. The tots were crispy and the english muffin came toasted well and pre-buttered. This was accompanied by an apple cider mimosa which tasted more or less just like apple cider. Another order was for the creole omelet with a side of cheesy grits and corn muffins. Additionally, an appetizer with the creole crab cakes was ordered. Everything tasted great. The third order was creole french toast with a side of bacon. The fourth order was also creole french toast. This order was asked to have a side of meat splitting bacon and andouille sausage. I specifically and explicitly asked if this could be done. I wanted to split one side order, not order two sides (more on this later). Oddly, the two sides of bacon were brought out on the same dish and we were basically told we can separate them ourselves. The french toast was extremely interesting. It came out like a donut or beignet deep fried with a crunchy and flaky outershell. The service is when things started to take a dip. We were informed that there was a large party on the other side of restaurant so things might be a little slow. The space between in the center part of the restaurant was basically empty. So when our waiter all but disappeared after delivering the food to the point of us having to ask another if his shift ended, we were surprised at how long it took to check out and leave. Because of this long wait, I didn’t bother explaining that we were charged double for the side meat order. They charged twice and the base price of meat sides was $4 when the menu said $3. Because it was ultimately under $10 in question, I just let it go since we had been sitting for too long at that point. Let down after an otherwise good tasting brunch."
