"We visited Liberty House for the third or fourth time yesterday, and it's quickly becoming our favorite brunch spot! The French toast and BLAT I had on previous visits were outstanding. Although I typically don’t order salads, I decided to try the Cobb salad this time, and it was fantastic. It was incredibly fresh with a delightful mix of flavors, and without a doubt, the best bacon I've ever had. The service was consistently friendly and attentive as well. Make sure to save us a table on the outdoor terrace—we'll definitely be back!"

This kind of attention to detail in offering a variety of salsas is a testament to their commitment to providing an authentic Mexican dining experience. For my meal, I ordered the steak fajitas, paired with their house special margarita. The sizzle of the fajitas as they were brought to the table instantly got my taste buds going. The steak was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The accompanying peppers and onions were fresh and added a nice balance to the dish. But what truly impressed me was the authenticity of the flavors. "How this place has 4.8 stars is beyond me. I suppose I should have managed my expectations- can’t compare NC cuisine to the great restaurants I’ve dined at in NYC, Paris or San Sebastián. My husband and I made a booking at Vivian for our wedding anniversary; we flew in for the weekend from NY. The food was so mediocre. We shared the smoked oysters, the deviled eggs, the grouper crudo, the smoked roast chicken and angel food cake for dessert. The oysters had shell, the deviled eggs needed salt, the grouper crudo was extremely tough and chewy, and the chicken was bland and super dry. It didn’t really have flavor other than the smokiness and couldn’t even taste the shaved truffle. Everything needed salt as well. The angel food cake was also over cooked and dry. For a James Beard nominated chef, I would have expected better. And the service was sub-par. When the waitress removed one of our empty courses, she spilled sauce all over my side of the table and didn’t notice. I had to ask her to wipe it off with a rag. And I had to ask for more water repeatedly as our water jug sat empty several times. We felt kind of abandoned. She was nice though. I really wanted to love this place. Alas, we left very disappointed. Would not recommend."

"La nourriture, les boissons et le service étaient excellents, et notre table à l'arrière donnait sur le jardin ... dommage qu'il faisait un peu froid pour dîner dehors. Le seul inconvénient était le niveau de bruit car il ne semble pas y avoir de surfaces molles pour réduire le bruit. Nous étions assis à côté d'une table de 6 ou 7 et ils avaient une conversation animée avec beaucoup de rires. Des gens sympas mais nous n'avons pas été mécontents quand ils ont fini. Reina était un bon rapport qualité / prix et nous y retournerons quand nous reviendrons à Frédéric."

"Chestnut is my favorite restaurant in Asheville. Staff is wonderful, ambience is great for anything between a romantic meal and a company dinner. They have a nice bar area. Portions are moderate (don't expect a trough of food like you get at a chain restaurant) , but I will take quality over quantity any day. For the quality you get, the prices are fairly moderate and worth it. Probably only costs about $30 more than dinner for 2 at Olive Garden. The menu changes regularly. Make SURE to save room for their desserts. The souffle is divine! I walk out of their feeling satisfied every time."
