"I ordered the prime rib sandwich, and to put it mildly, it was inedible due to the excessive fat and gristle. The mashed potatoes tasted strange—while they were edible, something just wasn’t right. The fried okra was also inedible. Thankfully, the chicken strips were quite good and came in a large portion, allowing my girlfriend and I to make them our meal. We also tried the funnel cake fries, which were delicious.
I’m not sure if it was just an off night or if this is typical, where some dishes are enjoyable while others are not acceptable. If someone we trust who frequently visits the place reassured us that this was an unusual experience, we might consider giving it another try, especially because of the great service and fun atmosphere. However, for now, we won’t be returning.
I cannot emphasize enough how unpleasant the prime rib sandwich was. In hindsight, we should have asked for a refund or chosen something else from the menu, but that's not usually our style. We see it as a learning experience and have decided to move on."
