"A very nice smokehouse joint with a solid selection of sandwiches, BBQ salads, and some delicious lookin' baked goods. The biggest surprise to me was the cooler filled with specialty sodas and classic brands, my favorite of which was the Sprecher's Puma Kola. That has always been my go-to since I was a kid. The food was absolutely delicious and was just as good, if not a little better than what my family makes for the Fourth of July. The prices are a little steep, but post-Covid food pricing being what it is, it's more than justified by the quality and portions. I will for sure make an effort to stop here whenever I'm in the area. There's just not enough good tasting potato salad in the world anymore!"

"The people that work at this location is one of the reasons that I keep coming back. I have never had the service anywhere else like here. The coffee is amazing but you have to remember that it wouldn't be brewed and in a cup if it wasn't for the employees. 6:15am on December 9th I placed an order online. I put in the special instructions that if they could I would love for them to put a special message that I wrote on my momma's coffee cup. I forgot to tell them which coffee was hers. When I was givin my coffee the message was on it instead of the other cup. She fixed it for me even though it was my fault. I love this location and that manager needs to be given a raise immediately."

"We made reservations in advance. Got to restaurant and was not informed ahead of time that we were to sit outside. They seated us under a small overhang which allowed rain to still hit us. Another table had their umbrellas up because of the rain. Then later they offered us a table inside after the other table was given an inside table. They then informed us that another party took our table inside. So ridiculous!!! The only thing they offered to do was comp us a $15 appetizer with a bill over $300 !!! Today I checked our credit card bill and was charged double for our meal. I called and spoke to the manager Samantha who I told the whole story to and expressed no apologies until I told her I was gonna write a bad review. We will never go back to this restaurant!! So unprofessional!!!"

"We love Thirsty Lion. I think they were having an off evening. I almost always order the king poa chicken, and it’s so yummy. Tonight my chicken was dried out, overcooked and hard. The seasonal pad Thai my guy ordered was pretty good. They comped my dish and the manager apologized and said the quality food they have been receiving is not the same. I understand and we will be back just a little disappointed."

"We had a great Father's day dinner. The service was excellent. Chris our waiter was amazing. He helped us pick out the perfect bottle of red wine. Dinner was also amazing. Both our Steaks were cooked well done perfect. Ceasars salad was good but to leafy (big pieces) veggies mushrooms with the steak were so good. The garlic mashed potatoes were lacking Garlic, but they were good potatoes. We didn't order desert because we are headed to Mill Ave in Tempe for the Juneteenth Celebration. We will definitely be back to the Keg."

"We used to love this place and are members of the wine club, but the waiter we got was so awful, we are cancelling and will not return. He was chewing gum the entire time, poured wine a few inches from his face, told us several times to go to another restaurant in Apache Junction to get a better deal on spaghetti, and told us the only reason we liked Cooper's Hawk is because, we don't work here He told us he'd been there since day 1, but we'd not previously had him, so I guess we've been lucky. After the meal when my husband said if we could order dessert, he said, Well I don't know can you speak English Suffice to say we declined dessert when he returned, at which point he reiterated that we needed to go try this other place to get a good value on spaghetti. Truly unbelievable and we were with my sister and her husband, so that's 2 families turned off by this place."

"We were nearby at skateland and I ordered for pick up from here. Not sure of the name of the salad I got but it had beef in it and every part of it was delicious! A really nice serving as well. The parts that were supposed to be cold and crispy were and the dressing was light,refreshing and sweet. Really good! Several times I thought wow this is just so good. It felt like I treated myself! I included a photo but it's deceiving because that salad is deep and layered and it was damn delicious. I also ordered the Tom kha gai soup the one with coconut milk and it was so good. A little spicy but just perfect with lots of chicken and veggies inside. I love soup and could not stop eating this even when it was temperature wise too hot lol. Also the lady working the register was very helpful and nice and did such a nice job with the food and packaging. She was very sweet. I'm looking forward to going back and ordering the same items and more. I'll be sure to take my family so we can try a lot of their dishes."

"Haven't had Pita Jungle in a while so I decided to try out this location. My bf and I had 2 delicious wraps, service was quick, food was good. We added some baklavas for dessert, but upon biting it I felt something weird in my throat. It felt hard so I immediately tried to spit out. It was like pieces of a plastic thread. My bf took a bite of his right after and found it on his too. I broke down the third one with my hands and found more. We were obviously disappointed but we know accidents happen. I was concerned I saw it in more than one though, since it could be a choking hazard so I called the restaurant to let them know. The girl that answered just wanted to send me to the manager but after telling her I wasn't going to complain she said thanks for letting them know. No info asked about when was the order or anything so I just hope they did check their stuff for other people's safety."

"Truly fine food served in a very professional manner at an historic setting. A walk through the grounds and seeing the historical pictures are a must. When we entered the Garden Patio there was a smoke from a decorative fire that was taken care of when we commented as we were seated. "I wanted to try this place out since I heard great things about it from some of my friends about the service and food, but my own experience did not match up to theirs. myself and 2 other friends came in as walk-ins on a wednesday evening and the hostess informed us that there were no immediate available tables due to reservations but we could take the bar seating as it 's the same full-service . we agreed, not really seeing an issue with bar seating since there 's only 3 of us, but the service given to us from our bartender was not up to standards. I understand he was busy with making drinks for other orders but he was seldom to check up on us, especially at the beginning when it was our first time dining here and we didn 't notice the QR code on the physical menu that held the entire menu until we inquired about non-sushi items. he also was not that friendly and was a little standoffish, it felt a little awkward to flag him down if we needed something. for food, while not bad and decent, I wish some of their more expensive dishes had more worth and taste for their price, like their wagyu beef. although I enjoyed my udon carbonara in the restaurant, I find that it did give me diarrhea the next morning before a shift, which wasn 't really a pleasant experience. I also found their sushi to taste a little subpar, no restaurant truly beats kuka when it comes to having great tasting sushi and raw fish. it was also regrettable that our bartender did not inform us that a small side dish of sriracha would be $4 until we received the bill. probably the best thing going for this restaurant is their modern, slightly high-end atmosphere inside which elevates the experience, only to be disappointed from the service and food."

"Last minute idea to go here for NYE. Made a reservation. When we got there, it was full but not at capacity (there were open tables). The very young hostesses put us on a high top table in the far back corner up against a large black wall and the kitchen. I asked if we could have a booth, and they said no. Ordered the special of a 14 oz ribeye with grilled shrimp, mashed potatoes and asparagus. I ordered it medium rare. Also got mac and cheese and a small salad. Salad did not come first, but everything came together. The steak was big but SO thin. Needless to say it was well done. The 3 shrimp were over done too. I showed our server. She agreed. A manager came by and offered to redo it. It took a long time, and frankly we didn't want it. Our server was very nice and the manager was nice enough. But the food was disappointing."

Exploring the menu has been a delightful experience. The food is incredibly tasty and consistently high-quality in every aspect I can think of. The customer service has been excellent, whether we dine in or order takeout. The takeout process is efficient, and both online and in-person ordering is easy. While the space isn't the largest, it works well, and the outdoor area adds to its charm, creating a welcoming atmosphere. "We were seated at a table in the corner on the window, normally this would be fine, but in this case it was cold due to the time of year. The other issue was that this table was hidden behind the booth next to it. Our server, although very nice just didn’t come by very often. We sat for 20 minutes before getting a drink, another 10 before ordering after that. It was 40 minutes after seating before we got our salads and almost an hour before getting our steak. Sadly our steak was not great, the meat was mealy and tough. The creamed spinach was incredible though."

"Incredibly delicious food, friendly staff and great service. Had their Burrata for an appetizer. It came with wilted kale, apricot jam, house-made bread and balsamic glaze. The plate was delicious. I enjoyed all the different spices in the burrata along with the apricot jam. The mix of the two was incredible. The balsamic glaze added a little kick, which was delightful. It was a decent portion, so it?s a filling appetizer. For my entrée, I had their Shrimp Scampi. I loved the delicious white wine lemon sauce along with the shrimp. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and meaty. The tomatoes were on the sweet and sour side, which complemented the dish well. The dish was delicious over all and was also a decent portion. Very tangy. I also got to try their Gnocchi Gorgonzola. The creaminess on the sauce was unbelievable and flavorful. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked and had the perfect texture. The pancetta was delicious and its saltiness added lots of flavor to the dish. The arugula refreshed the palate from all the creamy goodness. To drink I had their Red Sangria. It was delicious, fruity and strong. It was so chilly and refreshing. I recommend. I also had the best server. She was very sweet, patient and attentive. She was very welcoming and made many recommendations. She knew the menu pretty well and was able to help me decide on what to get since it was my first time at their restaurant. Thank you for a great time and such delicious food. Will be back. Totally recommend."

"Good, not great. I 'd like to give it a 2nd try though. We stopped in for breakfast and were seated promptly, but took about 15 minutes to take our order. Very small place and kind of crowded. Kitchen appeared to be clean, cooks didn 't wear gloves or hair nets though. I had the breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, and sausage. But the forgot the cheese.. which really stunk b/c it needed it. Sausage had no flavor, no seasoning, no heat. Eggs were ok, but overcooked. I do not like scrambled eggs that are super dry. The hashbrowns were 'ok ' kind of thick cut and I like them a little more cooked not as soft. My husband had the country omelet smothered in sausage gravy, that 's what got the 4 stars, my food was 2.. his was 4. I 'd like to try it again though."

My wife and I had already sampled three other pizzas at the festival before stumbling upon this hidden gem. We decided to try the Spicy Chicken pizza, and we were absolutely delighted. As we ranked our favorite pizzas from the day, this one quickly took the top spot. I just wish they had a location on the west side!"
