"Writing this review is challenging. I've been visiting Troutman's at various locations for nearly a decade. Over the years, two out of three locations have closed, leaving only the original Downtown Concord spot.
It seems the ownership might be aging, and without any family members stepping in to take over, the place is starting to decline. It’s unfortunate because several of the closed locations were excellent, and the concept still holds potential—it just needs some updating.
On a positive note, the food is still good, albeit not as great as it used to be. The service is outstanding, and many of the staff have been there for a long time. However, the decor is somewhat outdated and could use a refresh.
I realize my review began on a negative note, but that’s the reality. I still hold a solidly positive view of the restaurant, but it is beginning to show signs of decline. For now, it remains a solid choice, and I would definitely recommend it to others."
