"I requested a refund since I couldn’t get my shake. Unfortunately, the only register was being attended by a slow worker who was helping another customer, so they suggested taking my card to another register in the back to process the refund. I agreed, but after about five minutes, what I assumed was the manager returned with my card and said they wouldn’t be able to refund me.
I politely protested, pointing out that there was cash in the register if they couldn't refund my card. The manager claimed that if she processed refunds, the store would lose $14,000 a day. Unbelievable! She told me I would have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Frustrated, I left and filed a complaint with McDonald's corporate, who advised me to return to the store for a refund. So, they can process refunds after all.
I live about 25 miles away and only visit this restaurant every couple of months when I'm passing through, but after this experience, I’m done. The wait times are consistently 20 minutes or more, and this was easily the worst McDonald's experience I've ever had. I’ve traveled extensively across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, and this McDonald’s in Garrison is by far the worst. Don’t waste your time here; I certainly won’t be wasting mine again."
