"My wife and I embarked on an adventure in Half Moon Bay, the land of traffic jams and hangry tourists. The situation got so dire that we considered making a break for it, executing a daring illegal u turn like something out of a heist movie. But just as our grumbling stomachs were about to stage a coup, a ray of hope shone through the car window the glorious beacon of India Beach, with its flashing open sign! We made a decision quicker than you can say naan bread. As we pulled into the parking lot, it was as if we 'd stumbled upon a hidden treasure. Unlike the overcrowded tourist traps nearby, India Beach exuded serenity and delicious aromas that promised an exotic escape. They even had tables set up on the patio, providing a front row seat to the shoreline. It was like finding an oasis in the desert of hangry despair. The staff greeted us with smiles that could rival the sun 's brilliance, and the food? Oh, it was a taste explosion that put our grumbling stomachs to shame. We devoured our meals like it was a race against time, savoring every flavorful bite. But the icing on the mango lassi had to be the owner 's brother, who made an appearance like a cameo in a feel good movie. This guy was so friendly; I half expected him to start offering life advice or auditioning for a buddy cop film. He added the perfect touch of hospitality to an already fantastic meal. In the end, we left India Beach with full bellies, happy hearts, and a renewed faith in the power of illegal u turns. I /may/ have asked chatgpt to punch this up a little... But seriously, we had a really nice time and enjoyed both the food and the really friendly people here. If you find yourself in Half Moon Bay, check it out."

"we have loved sams for years and have sown more paints than I can remember. we chose the special occasion for the birthday of my men. sad food and services were not on the spot. we ordered a butter salat crab and garnel salate, which must have my favorite. when it was served, it came with large sandwich slices from eisberg salat, which looked like it should be served on a burger. I pointed this to the server, and she told me I received what I ordered. I then showed her that on the menu the salad is described with buttersalat and let her know that we often order this and it was different than normal. they went to ask the cook and let me know that they have no butter salate, so that they had to replace with the iceberg they put on sandwiches, as it is what they had. for a $25 salad would be the possibility to change (before serving) or any kind of heads up to the replacement would have been appreciated. they offered to switch over into mixed greens, but we leaned down and simply chose the toppings, not the salat. Secondly, the last few paintings that we have dined the whiskers to be different prepared. before it had fresh crumbled, including laeks and thymian, which are visible in the broth, although at our last two visit this in look and taste lacked. we had gotten on an open table that we celebrated my husband birthday, and there was no mention until I advised the server. Finally, we sat outside to enjoy the view. when it was a special occasion, we were looking forward to the relaxation and sunset. during our meal, the table next to us was soon used by employees who eat on their break, which attracted frequent employee visits. it felt for a good part of our meal that we had a break in the coworker. although the location is stunning and chowder tasty, this was not the same sams experience we were used to and before in love."

"Our Anniversary dinner at La Costanera was amazing! Everything sounded so good, so we ordered a bunch of “small” plates to share and taste everything, we were too full and had to take a lot home, including dessert! Surprisingly, my favorite thing was the stuffed avocado! It was topped with a mildly spicy chicken/chicharrones and this yummy sauce, with microgreens. They should call this place “Sauce”, because the expertly thought out sauces and drizzles on every little detail make every item on the menu absolute perfection! We’ve been here a few times, twice this year for Valentine’s Day our Anniversary and once at the prior location for a birthday, and…we always leave thoroughly satisfied with the food, the service, and the ambience just lovely right on the water. I am also awestruck by whomever did the interior design on this new location…I say it every time we come but every little detail down to the driftwood-lined wall sconces and mix of patterns and colors with Peruvian influences makes it even more of an experience! Even the mocktails were fancy, plus the Peruvian Pisco specialty and tastings are not something you see everyday. If you have never been…you must go! We will be back very soon! There is also a cute Italian bakery next door (Meza Luna), local brew house, harbor activities near by, fish market and lots of activities. It is the place to be, with lots of easy parking."
