"Was looking for the top rated pizza place in Lompoc to bring a couple pies to my Airmen on base during a midnight missile launch. There 's nothing like hot piping pizza to bring morale up! Unfortunately, that was not what happened. I placed an 815 pickup order earlier in the day, around 5pm. I chose pickup to allow the restaurant time to make the pizza on their own so there would be no wait time and rush. I arrived at 825 for pickup. I didn 't receive a text or update that it was ready, so I took it to chance that it was done. When I arrived, I was greeted and the workers were very friendly but nothing out of the ordinary. I was surprised, once I picked up the food, that it wasn 't warm, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt that it had just cooled down. When I tried the pizza about 30 minutes later, it looked like the pizza had essentially microwaved or just reheated in some fashion. Most definitely not freshly made. Out of a crew of 6 hungry men, the two boxes were barely touched all night because it just wasn 't that good. For a meat loaded pizza and highly rated cheese, it tasted like cardboard, and the cheese on both was extremely extremely thin. There was barely any crunch to the crust. More dough than any loaded toppings and little to no sauce on either. I even bought 2 small pizzas for my family at home for later, and they couldn 't eat it either. Overall--I don 't think there 's anything wrong with service. They appeared to be kind people. But their pizza, for $23-$30 a pop is absolutely outrageous. I love nothing more than to support small business (we all have to help each other out and look out for our community in these times! But I will not return again and would rather drive to Santa Maria to get a chance at a better pizza."

"Hilton Garden Inns are not generally recognized for their epicurean accomplishments however I was curious to try out the Valle Eatery Bar as it is/presented as a branded restaurant. Additionally, being a travel nerd and a Marriott platinum elite, I'm down to check out a new hotel to see what's on tap. The menu is lacks variety but they may be partially forgiven considering this is a hotel restaurant in Lompoc. Tapas aside, you basically have pizza(s), burger(s), or light sandwiches to choose from. I opted for the Valle Burger thinking it would be the standard, safe choice. Truth-be-told, the meat was a little on the dry side and could've used more (or any) seasoning. The accompanying side salad had a healthy mix of greens however a few cherry tomatoes had definitely passed their prime and the Caesar dressing had a layer of small bubbles on the top--a classic sign of spoilage/food contamination. Against my better judgement, I had small sample which didn't taste anything like a Caesar/creamy Caesar. It had a confused flavor, for sure nothing I'd intentionally order. Conversely, the service was fast, friendly, and efficient. Overall it was a positive experience; however to be fair I was the only one there towards the end of their lunch service. The atmosphere is open and modern and there are a lot of good seating options to choose from, even an outdoor patio. To top it off, the bar maintains a healthy selection of local brews on tap. Honestly, I'm hesitant to eat there again however I wouldn't pass on the bar/lobby as a meetup spot with friends."
