"Ok, I have never left a negative review on here. That being said, I feel like I need to share my experience. My husband took me here for my birthday. The restaurant wasn’t busy as we waited until the lunch rush was over before going. The staff put together a spot for a large party next to us, 23 to be exact. My husband asked if we could be moved since there were many empty seats further away from the big party. The hostess said she’d need to ask the manager…who refused to let us move. She said she couldn’t accommodate us because it was noisy, when there were many available empty tables. I was pretty shocked disappointed by this. We took the food home and as usual it was delicious…just baffled as to why we couldn’t move. I do want to add that our waitress, Billie, was so sweet though!"

"Now, let's talk about the food. The ribs are incredibly delicious and just fall off the bone. They definitely won't disappoint. The sausage is also very good. As for the brisket, it's the most tender I've ever had; it literally flakes apart with a plastic fork, much like perfectly poached salmon. What a delight! And the beans? They are fantastic! My son ordered his with chopped brisket mixed in, and now I wish I had done the same. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy it all over again!"

"The bacon cheeseburger I ordered was decent, and the quality of the hamburger meat was actually better than what you find at many restaurants. Unfortunately, I had to eat it in my car, reminiscent of dining at Sonic. They only offered chips instead of fries, which felt a bit odd for a bar. It seems like a great spot for those who enjoy a lively bar atmosphere filled with cigarette smoke. The patrons at the bar appeared to be enjoying themselves. Just keep in mind that this is a very smoky bar that serves food, rather than a traditional restaurant."

"What a delightful discovery! I found this charming little restaurant through Google and decided to give it a try based on its fantastic reviews. The food was excellent—we started with the bean and cheese nachos as an appetizer and enjoyed two orders of chicken fajitas. It was far better than the larger chain restaurants. The service was exceptional, reminiscent of old-fashioned customer care! The atmosphere was lovely and the place was spotlessly clean. Plus, the prices were much more reasonable than those at bigger establishments. I’m definitely coming back the next time I'm in Mineral Wells!"

"We stopped into town for a breakfast bite before getting on the road to head back to the city after the 4th of July weekend. Don't let the humble appearance fool you, Tanya's Cafe serves up a DELICIOUS breakfast! The Waffles, Pancakes, Biscuits Gravy, Egg Scramble, The Mess, Country Fried Steak, etc... EVERYTHING was perfectly seasoned. The coffee could use a little more kick, but you don't even care when the food is THAT good! Then there's the warm and attentive service. Lots of smiling faces from the locals. Definitely recommend."

"As I sit here enjoying my lunch, I must say I am continually impressed by the service and quality at this place. Dining at underground spots can be a gamble, but today, three staff members really stood out. They took great pride in crafting my sandwiches, and the care they put into packaging and the payment process was exceptional!"

"Was very disappointed. Service was good but the food was not what I was expecting. Why is it when you go to a fast food place in a smaller town, the food is never as good as it is in the city? My favorite in San Antonio was Golden Chick but I just moved back uo here and this Golden Chick has a lot of work to do. The tea was good, the fries good but would've been better if they had been hot and the chicken sandwich, the main part of my meal was horrible. The bun was hard and darker then it should be. The chicken crust not crispy like it should be and don't even get me started on how much gristle it had. I've eaten a lot of Golden Chick and this was the only time the food has been bad. Don't know what they are doing different from the ones in San Antobio but I will not be a returning customer. If this town knew how good its suppose to taste I promise this place wouldn't be in business."

"Great dish but unfortunately it came with a fly. Once it was brought to the waitress attention she gladly exchanged for a new plate minus the fly. However, there was no compensation at all for such an horrific experience as well as having to wait foranother plate. No offer to comp it, free dessert, free drink, candy bar or anything. Customer satisfaction and service iseverything and when a customer has a bad experience every attempt should be made to make that customer feel appreciated andtheir business is valued at your restaurant and you don't want them to leave and never come back because of an unpleasantexperience. The offer to comp the meal really doesn't cost them anything but to the customer it's everything."

"Pete’s pizza in Mineral wells was awful we were .5 miles away took a hour and a half to get our food they had told us 45-1 hour which was fine people get busy but then they drop the food off we spent 57.00 on cold nasty wet food . The steak salad was completely cold it had cold fries on it as well the fried pickles and banana peppers were wet and cold the pizzas was barely warm on the bottom . So I call and Ofcourse it’s a fight small Business like this she said they can’t take the loss of 57.00 after the person I spoke to told us that they had drove around with our food for a hour and that they would fully refund us then they said she was special needs and they deserve to work to which I agree with but I feel like they just made an excuse. I said well we wait till 9 at night to get our food they want to offer to remake with a attitude when we are out of town and have my older in-laws i have to take home kids to put to bed I said nope not waiting till probably 10 or after to get more food then she said well box the food up and what ever isn’t touched I will refund I said well ofcourse it was touched when we order our food at 730 and get it at 9 and we have kids offered us 25 back she was extremely rude told me she was gonna hang up on me and not to come back I said I wasn’t planning on it . Then I reach out to the daughter which I guess it’s a mother and daughter duo after she hangs up on me and she was much nicer but still only got a refund of 28.50 cause I diddnt want her to lose her job but definitely a horrible experience just warning you about the place . Yes I had ate some of the cold salad I was starving and again after tip paid 67.00 for this awful meal . If they refund me it will be 39."

"Been to so many Chili's locations. On average especially when super busy any oops is acceptable. One star only here so I could move on to rant about yesterday's visit in my residential town. 8pm not overly busy, 1hr total of time spent in establishment.Simply a small to go order of 2 drink their version of chili type con queso with a nuke, heat munch bag of chips; prettygood idea there I'll say Rude hostess, bartender a real nasty human, my sister was the one to make our order in person aftermuch lack.of response from the so dalled bartender. She did go as far as to complain to the manager on duty, asking him torefrain from repromanding them til she left. Not as though he even attempted to offer a sple glass of water. A realdisappointment all around. We even witnessed 2 gentleman that sat at a near empty bar weren't treated any better, one of the 2was never waited on and finally gave up. I know as well as anyone, especially from being in this industry that verbalrecognition kindness goes a VERY long way. Definitely contacting corporate on this unnecessary happenings."

"I tried the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. It looked nothing like the advertised picture and had so much pepper on it that it was inedible. Since I took it home to eat, I threw it away. If I had been still there when I opened it, I would have asked for something else pr my money back. Their hamburgers have always been alright, so this was a big disappointment."

"I was pleasantly surprised by this small restaurant. The service was excellent and the catfish was amazing. The hand-cut fries were delicious as well. The portions were large, so we had plenty to take home. This place is a must-visit if you enjoy catfish, and I've heard their burgers are excellent too. Just make sure to check their hours of operation before going, as they can get busy on weekends with their beer and pool tables. Overall, I would give the food a 5, service a 5, and atmosphere a 4."
