"First and only restaurant review; however, so perturbed with pricing I felt it appropriate to warn others. Ordered Maker 's Mark Manhattan, up. Drink fine, dinner fine; however, when the bill came, the drink was charged at $24.00! Questioned the waiter; got the shrug it is what it is response to which I commented obscene . I went back and checked my experience with comparable restaurants and same drink order over past 8 months: Graze $12.00/drink for two different occasions, Wood Grain $13/drink for two different occasions, Fleet Landing $13, Burtons $14, Sunsets $14. So, how does Red Drum justify such exorbitant pricing? And no, it wasn 't served with gold leaf; and although the view of Coleman Blvd traffic was fabulous, it wasn 't an added value of $10.00 $12.00! That $24 base cost ended up with a total impact of $32 when you factor in tip, CC fee and taxes. Note Don 't give me song/dance that supply costs are up, service costs are up...the customer pays 90% of the wait staff 's salary in addition to a 4% credit card fee and 12% in taxes. I reiterate obscene!"

"This place is fantastic! It has a pub vibe and feeling, but the food is fantastic! The sandwich/burger menu remains fairly constant, but the dinner menu changes somewhat frequently due to the availability of fresh ingredients. Be assured that everything you order here will probably be some of the best you ever had! I've eaten several times here and I've never been disappointed. The last time I visited, I was there with a bunch of navy veterans who had spent a lot of time in Scotland and some of them ordered Fish Chips. Everyone agreed that it was the best they ever had outside Scotland! I ordered the Seafood Linguine (Shrimp and Little Neck Clams) and it was fabulous! You have a good craft beer selection on both design and cans/bottles. You have a full bar with many special cocktails available. We sat immediately and the service was exceptional! Cheers!"

"Five stars take out service. Listened carefully to all requests and provided great recommendations. All items ordered were accounted for with no issues. Their thai seasoning and recipes are comparable to west coast (CA, WA, OR states) cuisine. Living in the southeast coast, finding an authentic, quality thai restaurants are few and far between. So, if you’re in the area and craving for thai food, then I highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Try their green curry, sooo yummy!"

"We were there this past Thursday. Our food took over an hour to come out. Never saw a manager. Our waitress barely paid attention to us. Probably trying to avoid us because our food was taking so long. We've been there the past several Thursdays. It's the same excuse every time, take out is taking too long. We're going to give the Mt. Pleasant Bdubs a break for a while."

"Vickery's is decent. The restaurant features a spacious deck with a view of the swamp and the water, making it a great spot for drinks and appetizers. "The room is awkwardly designed, with large cabinets creating a narrow walkway past the beds. The ergonomics are poor, offering very limited table and bathroom shelf space (there's no space at the sink). The shower has weak water pressure and an odd half-glass door that swings open incorrectly. The toilet is also quite low. To make matters worse, the shampoo dispenser is broken, and there are no USB ports at the desk. The attempt to add old-fashioned charm fails due to the lack of functional design and amenities, making the room uninviting. The desk chair is a hard wooden one, and the mattresses feel cheap and uncomfortable. Additionally, the card reader at the gate frequently malfunctions, leaving you stranded outside or causing inconvenience when trying to enter. On a positive note, the view is decent and the coffee is satisfactory. However, the nearby restaurant, The FishHouse, offers poor service and overpriced, mediocre food. If you’re visiting Charleston, I would not recommend staying here. I’m leaving with a backache."

"Two words: Totally worth it! This place is an unexpectedly fantastic choice for fresh shrimp and local seafood. I've realized that when a restaurant is known for its fried fish or shrimp, you definitely have to order it fried. We arrived around 4:45 PM on a weekday and noticed a few cars already in the parking lot with diners eagerly waiting. By 4:55 PM, a line of about 15-20 people had formed. They opened the doors right at 5 PM and quickly seated us, getting us right into the meal. We spent about 45 minutes there, and by the time we left, the wait was estimated at around 20 minutes, which isn’t much longer than if we had just come right at opening. The place has a lot of history and offers a unique, charming experience. I highly recommend it!"

"We were seated outside around 5:15 PM, and the weather was nice enough to enjoy with just a jacket. The crowd seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists, and the menu was heavily focused on seafood. The service was excellent; our waitress was very attentive and kept our drinks topped up. The restaurant was full, but despite being a larger party, we had a great experience. The food was generally good, although some dishes had smaller portions. We tried the crab queso, which was fantastic—I would definitely order it again. The Beef Nachos were just what you would expect, and the grilled seafood was also quite enjoyable. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience!"

"My husband had to go back to order more chicken noodle soup because the cashier only got us a cup instead of a bowl. When a young lady in a black shirt called out for our soup, she didn't look our way and therefore didn't see us raise our hands. My husband had to get up again to ask for our soup. We finally received our chicken wrap and sauces after a long wait. I noticed several individuals who seemed to be managers—one man in a gray shirt was on the phone, while two ladies in gray shirts were facing each other in a booth. There were also two more managers in black and gray shirts sitting across from each other, along with another in a blue shirt at a small table. They were all completely unaware of what was happening in the dining area. As we left, we passed all four managers who were still seated, and I was extremely frustrated with how uncharacteristically inattentive they were, especially for a Chick-fil-A. We placed our order around 3:10 PM. I suggest reviewing the security footage if you have it, CHICK-FIL-A #00854. The owner-operators are Josh Malone. This store desperately needs re-evaluation."

"Ordered a wonton soup and several sushi rolls and hand rolls. Food came quickly, the Wontons were mush...must have sat in broth all day ..not good. I had East Cooper roll ... massive and delicious order from the sushi Happy Hour menu Sunday -Monday two mackerel scallion hand rolls .75 extra for scallion? . Plus has eel avocado rolls and yellowtail w/scallion....lots of food plus a cocktail for 7.00 great value..total bill was 62/less tip. Overall satisfying."

"We discovered this restaurant while we were in the area, and we were pleasantly surprised! I ordered the caprese sandwich, and my husband had the turkey Parmesan; both were absolutely delicious! Our son couldn't get enough of the macaroni and cheese. The seating area across the street was charming and relaxing. We will definitely be back!"

"Great example of location, location, location. Right on Shem Creek with both outdoor and indoor dining. Probably not fair, anyway, but the food didn 't match the view. We had two chef 's specialties after a dozen raw oysters. They were out of anything nearby, so they substituted Canadian on the half shell. Small to medium, at best. The Atlantic Black Grouper itself was good, but at $50 market price, the accompaniment should have more than two small asparagus slightly overcooked. Apparently the reason they were hidden under the grouper. Pasta Gumbolaya was really quite good (Sautéed chicken, shrimp, andouille sausage, tomatoes, okra, Cajun cream tomato sauce- served over linguine, $32). Oh, and the bread. My colleague described it as unexceptional . With so many choices in food heaven, I wouldn 't make a special trip here."
