"We were not greeted when we were seated in our booth. I had to inquire with the hostess to find out who our waitress was. The waitress, Penny, did not clear our dirty dishes. My husband's clam chowder was lukewarm and he did not enjoy the short ribs. I ordered a lobster roll with fries, which thankfully were hot. The lobster roll came in a hotdog bun and cost $28. Was it worth the price? No. We are not from the area and decided to try this restaurant on a whim. Our waitress never checked on us to see how our meal was. She appeared flustered, possibly having an off day, but it was hard to tell. The hostess seemed to be working harder than she was, assisting a lot. We will not be returning to this restaurant. It is unfortunate because they have a good menu selection and a nice Tavern atmosphere. Another waitress we observed seemed more friendly and efficient. However, I did enjoy the stuffed mushrooms."
