"As a regular patron of the Ponce City location of this restaurant, I have always appreciated their impeccable selection of wines. I’ve been in the United States for four years and in Atlanta for two. Before meeting Jia, I almost exclusively enjoyed wine at home. However, Jia's is one of the few restaurants where I fully trust them to choose both my wine and food. Especially the manager, Jack—he makes me feel like he spends every day soaking in a wine barrel. He never fails to surprise me. I live in Sandy Springs, and I once complained to Jack about the long drive and the annoying parking fees. He recommended this location to me, which excited me greatly. However, my next three dining experiences here left me very disappointed. The first time, I dined on the second floor. A petite blonde girl assisted me, and when I asked for a red wine recommendation, she didn’t know much but did help me to some extent. Though the experience wasn’t remarkable, she did what she could. The second time, I dined on the first floor. I sat at the table for nearly 15 minutes without anyone attending to me. I noticed an Asian lady sitting at the bar, speaking to the servers. I assumed she was in charge and tried to get her attention, but she didn’t notice me. Perhaps my bad luck was that she had her back turned to me. By the time a server finally came to assist, my patience had worn thin, and I didn’t order any wine. The third time, again on the first floor, they didn’t provide me with the wine list I wanted. I saw the same Asian lady from before, and I politely asked her if she could give me the wine list. She pointed to the cocktail menu on the table and said, “It’s right there.” I then noticed the wine I wanted on the wall behind the bar and tried to communicate that I wanted that bottle. However, she almost rudely told me, “That bottle isn’t for sale!” I completely lost patience with this place and left. It’s ridiculous that the Ponce City location, which is just a regular neighborhood Chinese restaurant, provides a perfect dining experience, while this location, with its upscale decor, offers disappointing service and attitude. I’d rather drive 30 minutes and pay for parking than dine here again."

"Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a restaurant. I’ve been here before and didn’t care for the place but I thought today I would give it another chance because the last time I visited was when it opened. This establishment is down right worthless and shouldn’t even be an option for a great little community like Easley. Way way overpriced and I mean I could eat a steakhouse dinner for the price I paid and wouldn’t be on here leaving a review. Food was not only bad it tasted like prison food. I’ll leave that reference not only comedic but true. I watched unsanitary things like one guy putting new food on top of old food in the bar without changing the pans over and using the same spoon. The waitress using an unclean tub to transport ice to the stations. Bathroom was god awful. But hey I had already paid for the slop they consider food before all this. So I tried to make the best of it. The chain I assume it’s becoming I see is popping up all around. I assuming it’s because your charging people to leave a tip with your debit card. I was charged 1.82 for leaving a tip on my card and it was billed as a cash advance. I came in the place in a great mood and planned on leaving the waitress a 10 dollar tip but I don’t carry cash who does nowadays especially after COVID. So the profit even more by my trying to leave a tip on my card. When I called them out on it they got the I’m caught look froze up and couldn’t explain. From the reviews I read today after being taken like this. Yea this little whole in the wall needs be fixed let’s get a real restaurant in that spot. They don’t deserve to be here. So you enjoy that 67 dollars you charged me for 3 adults and a 6 year old. You will NEVER ever see another penny from anyone I know if I have anything to do with it. I don’t want an apology I don’t want a refund I just want everyone to know. It should have been called Big Boys Country Crookin. Not cookin do yourself a favor if your read all this and just pass it. Go get some real food. You could eat at the steak house down the street and walked out happy than deal with the rude staff they employ."

"I purchased a Groupon 2 weeks ago to use for date night today. Before we began ordering, I informed the waiter of my Groupon and he immediately said ?No! We don?t take those!? I said ?I just purchased it, since when you stop taking it. I can even purchase another right now.? He said they been stop taking them after the first 2 attempts of people redeeming them. We asked for the manager and he put on the phone to speak to some man. He made no exception for us AND I couldn?tget me money back from Groupon. We ate there anyway hoping the food would be worth the hassle but the food was honestly pretty horrible. I ordered curry chicken and they told me it was a 2 hour wait. We were the only ones there. The djondjon rice was dry and obviously microwaved and so were the wings and Mac n cheese. The pikliz looks interesting too. Disgusting. I couldn?t eat it. Nothing ?Carribbean? or Haitian about it. Just terrible. We ended up spending almost $70 forterrible food. Never again. Amended response to this restaurant: I?m not sure what a kokorat is but either way my experience is my experience. I had a terrible experience with your restaurant and it?s ok. Kudos to you finding peoplewho enjoyed your food. I don?t work in the food industry so I don?t know anything about microwaved meals being served to customers but your meals didn?t appear ?fresh? at all. (Again, in my opinion) Also while you?re checking cameras, checkone more time to see/hear your server state that I would have to wait 2 hrs for curry chicken. Not that I waited 2 hours for my food. In addition, I never heard of your restaurant until I saw it on Groupon. People shop there to try newthings. I was excited to do just that but unfortunately I was quickly disappointed. Your dealings with Groupon has nothing to do with me as a customer. Yes, you gave us a 20% discount BUT you also charged us an 18% gratuity fee for 2 peoplethat is typically charged on groups of 6 ppl or more. Now THAT is unfair. Anyway, carry"
