"This is my second negative review in my history on Google. I've been at this location 2-3 times prior, and service/food has always been a solid average, which is on par with these sorts of burger joints. My experience last Saturday around 2 pm wasbelow average for multiple reasons. I was promptly greeted by the employees and the cashier was quick to offer assistance withmy order, but I decided to first set up my kids at the table before placing my order. Once I was ready, I went to the counterand stood there for 3-4 minutes while watching 4 employees having casual conversations. Keep in mind the place was relativelyempty, and they were looking at me the entire time. Finally, a young man in the kitchen mentioned to another employee to take myorder. Since not a single customer walked up to the counter while I was ordering, I didn't feel a need to rush my process. Iwas not very familiar with the kids menu and the cashier wasn't very patient or friendly with me taking any time to understandwhat they offered (it's a very basic kids menu, but I still wanted to understand the 2-3 options they had). Once I finishedplacing my order, my 3-year-old stole my attention away for 15-30 seconds, but the young cashier repeated with a loud voice SIR, IS IT FOR HERE OR TO GO or something to that effect. I don't usually have people talk to me that way, and found therudeness entertaining. Again, still no one behind me at the counter, so I'm not sure I understood her rush. Moving to the foodpart, my kids had plain cheeseburgers and I ordered the burger fi burger without cheese, which she confirmed, but I noticed onmy receipt after receiving my food that she documented the cheeseburger. The burger buns were also very cold, my young kidsdidn't seem to care, but it did take a little away from enjoying my burger. When I was younger, I worked 7 years in the serviceindustry in various capacity, and have empathy towards all service industry employees. Considering the place"

"I tried this place today. The location was something out of the way and the parking lot fits the restaurant. Not much space inside and small, but very nice and clean. If there were no problems coming in and getting room, we have to change. We invite this place with people and make it very difficult to find a place where open table is a necessity (which they are now on. So to begin, the lady behind the counter was very nice and friendly. I felt welcome after a very long class in the vicinity. I had a pretty flowing day and the level of service put a smile on my face. Nothing imagination in the decor, but done humble and I appreciated the little things it had. Sat at the bar and it was comfortable enough. I looked at what a very elaborate menu for grilled cheese. They had a fine selection of unique appetizer offers and some specialries too. I did not decide to pamper and order the Buffalo Bleu with regular frits. I didn't expect what I did. A beautiful sandwich with buffalo chickens and bleu cheese on toast (of course! It was very good, but very unhandy I loved. Came with shoes style fries and house made Dill Pickles (2 discs that we have a perfect game. Also came with a dipper of tomato soup, which did not work entirely with this melt, because it is hard to keep all these big buffalo-y-grooms. Be warned to come here GPS is good, but remember, you will be placed over two traffic circuits (rude and it will set the set of buildings against the lake. You'll see what I mean. Locals and tourists should also try this unique Grilled Cheese Bar and a welcome addition to the area."

"My initial review when they first opened was a glowing five star. However, the three last times we have ordered for my child with ARFID (huge struggle, gotta feed within a specific window, when it comes to her wrong it 's too late) the order has been wrong. I called and spoke to the manager, who was very busy and didn 't really show that customer service empathy, or willingness to do what he can (though he asked me what he could do as he seemingly was rushing the call- most would write the name down and offer the messed up order for free next time). There is a huge difference between chocolate and vanilla. The manager didn 't show empathy but offered some great advice, such as checking the no-contact doordash order and just going through them and using the world definitely to emphasize how little he cares about those of us that have supported them from the time they opened. Check my reviews. 99% positive. Easy to please. Not happy with the rushed call to the manager. I should have known when I asked to please speak to the manager and I was polite. To say otherwise would be very uncool bc anyone that would hear the call would know I stayed far from a Karen. We are still allowed to go to the next step when the order is consistently wrong. I called, he answers, This is Jason. How can I help you? I told him what was going on and he just repeated his name and said how can I help you? As a professional familiar with basic customer service, a more appropriate response would be, I 'm very sorry to hear that. Here is what I can do and in the meantime, I would suggest also contacting doordash since this has happened three times now. Except I put in the order the way it is saved. Not rocket science. I renege my former review. I hope one of my nearly 27,000 readers can empathize a little. ARFID is no joke, so wrong orders are a bit more catastrophic than they should be, but how do you screw up a gelati? Three times with the same customer. Exact same order, exact same screw u"

"I don 't usually write reviews but with this being our usual go-to spot, I couldn 't help be to be more than extremely disappointed on this last visit. We 've been to Dexter 's (not just this one but all of them) more times than I can count and today was the last. Upon walking in you could immediately tell something was off. This place used to be packed at brunch time but we walked in at 12:45 and there was maybe 4-5 tables with 4 people or less at each and no one at the hostess stand. After waiting about 5 mins someone finally greeted us and we were told that we could be seated but it would be at least 15 minutes before someone could help us. We decided to wait it out since our usual experiences were great but that should have been our first warning to run. After about 17 mins we placed our food and drink order. We went with unlimited mimosas since those are usually the same price as 2 and we can usually do 3 during brunch. The mimosas were awful. All juice and so sweet it was almost sickening. We didn 't even have enough to pay for the unlimited , they were that bad. The last one didn 't even have bubbles in it and they weren 't even filled to the top of the champagne flute. I ordered a BLT which was supposed to come with mayo... no mayo, 4 slices of bacon and maybe slightly toasted bread, I ate less than half of it. The au jus for the French dip was literally clear with some seasoning at the bottom, it tasted more like seasoned water. Our waiter was super nice and very apologetic for everything but it just couldn 't make up for all the negative. I now know why this place which used to be packed for Sunday brunch, was deserted today."
