The service at this restaurant is excellent - the staff are friendly, attentive, and professional. The atmosphere is also top-notch, with cozy lighting and a relaxed ambiance. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.

This restaurant is truly outstanding. We traveled for an hour to get there, and I would definitely make the trip again. The cornbread was fantastic, the sashimi was exceptional, and the salmon and filet were tender and flavorful. The chef did an amazing job preparing everything, including our dessert. The service was top-notch, with our waitress being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I wish more restaurants were run as efficiently as this one. It was a great dining experience that I will definitely repeat. There is plenty of parking available in a gravel lot behind the building. My wife and I had a wonderful time at the 1844 restaurant yesterday 7-2-22 celebrating our 34 wedding anniversary. The meal we were served was excellent and the ambiance quaint and charming. Both of us where wanting a very relaxed and quiet dinner and we we're not disappointed. The staff was pleasant and accommodating and we got our appetizers, salads and entrees very quickly. Both of us were very pleased with the evening we spent there and would like to once again share our compliments to the chef as well as the owner of the establishment and our waitress for marvelous anniversary meal. I loved this place. Everything about it was old school and charming. The decor was warm and rustic. It's like you're eating in a farmhouse from the 1800's, complete with a working fireplace. I had a reservation (you make it through their website) and was seated immediately. I must say it wasn't busy at all, but the server was with me within a minute. I have a restricted diet, and they were very helpful with accommodating me and making suggestions. They start you out with a basket of some sort of bread. It's like a sweet cornbread. Very good! Our experience at the 1844 Restaurant this evening was truly unforgettable! We enjoyed delicious cocktails and appetizers, followed by exceptional entrees that were some of the best I've ever had. My combination of Blackened New Zealand King Salmon and Prime Rib cooked medium rare was outstanding. The salmon was incredibly tender and flavorful, while the prime rib was perfectly seasoned and allowed the natural flavors of the meat to shine. Our server Karen was fantastic, possibly the best I've ever had, and she made our dining experience even more special.
