"We used to frequent this restaurant often about 10 years ago. We always enjoyed the food and service, making it the perfect spot for a meal before heading to the theater. However, our recent visit left much to be desired. The service was average and we felt largely ignored. The bar menu offered a wider variety of small dishes and appetizers compared to the restaurant menu (although both menus are available in the restaurant). We opted for small dishes only. The gazpacho (a summer special) was tasty, but the Cesar salad lacked flavor. The calamari from the bar menu had too much batter at the bottom of the bowl, and the aioli tasted like store-bought mayo. The chili dipping sauce was the standout of the three. We were disappointed to find that the drink prices did not vary based on whether it was top shelf or not."

Not bad for a hotel restaurant but I wouldn't eat here if I didn't have to.

Menu was redundant. If you did not like chicken or salad, there were few options available.

I feel like it is a great place for lunch or dinner that no one knows about. It is quiet and a great location for either business meetings or grabbing a bite before a show.

This is a pleasant restaurant for a pre-theatre lunch. Proximity to Times Square is its best attribute. The food is good, but the service was extremely slow and not well trained. Visualizza piatti

Service was good, we were the only diners in entire restaurant...scary. Soups and caesar salad very good. Entree's not so much, way overcooked fish and chicken. No time to send back b/c we had a curtain to make. Unfortunately would not go back.

Not easy to get to, no near parking. Restasurant is very open, all the way in back of hotel lobby and bar. Food was inadequate, menu limited. Butternut Squash soup tastedike cinnamon flavored water, Salmon dry. The wine list was also very limited. All in all, not a pleasant dining experience, unfortunately.

It was pleasant to dine in a quiet restaurant, especially on Valentine's Day. However, the lack of customers made it too quiet. The food was decent but expensive, and the service was average. They did have good wine and a nice view, though. I would recommend going here for drinks, unless you want to avoid crowds. Visualizza piatti

This restaurant is a dependable option for work lunches, conveniently located near the office and reasonably priced. The service is usually good, but occasionally it can be slow to get the attention of staff or to receive our food. Improving this aspect would greatly benefit customers, as many are trying to quickly return to work during their lunch break.

A convenient place to eat before going to theater across the street. Arriving early, we found nobody in attendance at the host's podium, but someone showed up shortly. Service was pleasant, if not particularly professional. The food was quite good, attractively presented, not outstanding. This is in a hotel catering to mid-level tourists, not demanding New Yorkers. You could tell the difference.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
