"I was really disappointed after eating here today. The Halibut sandwich was good but extremely over priced. Their fountain soda is expensive and they do not allow free refills which is a joke at that price. The waitress behind the counter was eating behind the counter while waiting on us. Lastly the place was dirty and the men's bathroom was completely nasty and stinky, I don't think they have cleaning it in a month. I don't recommend, go to Old Town For great food and service."

Best lunch in Valdez. The old fashion hamburger is the best burger in town. Best place in town for fried fish. The lunch specials are always good and the salad bar is...the best in town.

Fish and chips were good, over priced though. Cleanliness is questionable, bathroom needs a good top to bottom scrubbing. No atmosphere and for the prices there should be but again the food was good

Very local restaurant, we did like it we had Cod and Halibut fish. Is not the cuyes place but also is not expensive, they also have chicken wings and other stuff. They need to update the place to make it more attractive but the food was good. KEEP SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESS

Small fast food type eatery. Your order at the counter and they bring you your food. Menu items consist of fried locally caught Halibut and other fresh fish. They also have hot sandwiches and a salad bar. I got a Halibut basket with four pieces of fish, fries, a decent size salad and drink for under $20. It's not bad, don't expect anything fancy.

"Loved the Bahn mi crunchwrap I had on day one of my Valdez visit and probably loved the chicken mission burrito even a little more on day two! Guacamole was a little boring but housemade chips kinda made up for it. "I recently ordered takeout for lunch and had a great experience. The food was delicious, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The service was impressive, with a perfect rating of 5, making the entire process smooth and efficient. The atmosphere, even for takeout, felt inviting and had a strong vibe, so I’d rate it a 4. I highly recommend trying their sandwiches—they're definitely a standout!"

"Attention out-of-town visitors: proceed with caution. We entered the diner and sat at the bar for over 15 minutes without being approached to place our order. What was particularly frustrating was that the server attended to three locals who arrived after us. When I brought this to her attention, she only giggled and laughed off my concerns. I requested to speak with the owner, who was not present, and the supervisor on duty refused to address the issue as well. I was advised to return the next day to speak with the owner. I can assure you that this is how they treat all out-of-town guests. Save your money and dine elsewhere in town where they actually value your business. The old town diner clearly does not."

"Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to try the pizza and local beer that had been mentioned in earlier reviews. The restaurant was a little busy,but there was no wait for a table. The wait staff was extremely friendly, but not very attentive during our visit. Our poor experience began with some badly burned cheesy bread (see picture) and a long wait for our beer. The pizza was good , although it wasn’t warm throughout, it was much better reheated in our air fryer the next day. The waiter did have them remove the cheesy bread from our bill , which was greatly appreciated. As far as the location and ambiance, the restaurant is well decorated with a great location overlooking the docks. The poor rating is related to the apparent lack of quality assurance on behalf of the waiter, management, and chef along with the long delays for services. I might try this place again, but only after seeing a large number of better reviews."
