"My experience is from one who loves pizza tries new places out every chance I get... across NJ Chicago. Their hot sub rolls are dense and a bit hard (1 week+ old), I would NOT recommend getting a sub from them. I ordered a California grilled chicken sub and it was flavorless! Calzone was VG and Calamari was Good. Pizza was good. I asked if there were any specials on a $200.00 take out and they said no w/o hesitation. Seriously on a $200.00 take-out you don't offer a discount or even a can of soda???? Your competition in the area is a step above. I call it the way I see it."

"The Perigees at this restaurant were once again exceptional. The portion size was very generous and could easily be a meal on its own. It was served with plenty of perfectly cooked onions. I was also impressed with the French fries, which arrived crispy - a rare find when ordering from Door Dash. The chicken sandwich I ordered for my grandson was a hit - he devoured it and said it was excellent. This restaurant consistently delivers top-notch food that is perfectly prepared, with generous portions that justify the cost."

"Thoroughly upset with this place have been a customer for over a year . Since February I have had nothing but problems. One of my orders was 2 1/2 hours late because the driver broke down and didn’t report to the restaurant. Apparently this is what I was told so somebody had to remake my food and then bring it out to me. Another time ordered subs. They were completely soggy and missing like half of the ingredients to the sub, so I had to have the order made and brought to me again next time they forgot some of the order the person had to go and bring it back to me. Few times ordered after, the deliveries have taken a ridiculous amount of time to get to me (over an hour and half) I usually have to call the restaurant and ask where the driver is where I’m told about 10 minutes then 10 minutes and then 15 minutes and then 20 minutes goes by and then I have to call them again and I’m told something else. Food just arrived salad is massively soggy and warm. My croutons are soggy like they’ve been sitting for over 40 minutes before arriving to me. My sandwich was also soggy because the delivery driver decided to take over an hour to deliver it to my house when I am only a few minutes away, needless to say. I’m thoroughly aggravated and I will not be ordering from this place any longer."

"This place has been here forever. It seems. I’ve gotten good soups from there before and a take away burger that was good but most dining experiences here were mediocre at best. Diner, along route 70 in Lakehurst, and holds quite a few people with fairly roomy tables with an old look From many years gone by. This is not one of those eclectic places that hoard every imaginable kind of junk, it is reminiscent of an old school of New Jersey diner, and at its core it is. But it is dated more to the 80s. Many people choose to eat lunch at the counter here, and usually around dining hours the parking lot is fairly full. Look for anything homemade on the menu and a special that day and you’re likely to be satisfied. Other menu items aren’t so spectacular because it started out frozen 20 minutes before you ordered it. The Fairest part is the prices of specials make this an affordable place for a family compared to so many places around this area."

"First let me say that it pains me to make this review. I want to see restaurants succeed. However, the experience we had was just wrong on so many levels. I literally walked out saying that I would be posting this review. This was our first time back since the change of ownership. We used to frequent this establishment quite often. We will never go back and would not recommend this to anyone we know. The restaurant was mostly empty and I can see why, considering the other restaurant in town is always crowded.To begin with, my husband ordered a beer that was flat. He was brought another one which was equally bad. I ordered chicken francaise with angel hair. My husband ordered a chicken parm sandwich. I was supposed to get soup, but our meal came out first. Not a huge deal, because I took it to go..but it's just another issue along with the others. My husband said the bread tasted like it was stale or previously frozen. My meal was ok. Waitress came by to ask if the second beer was ok and my husband told her no that it was just flat. She did not take it away, even though my husband said he would just drink his water.Then the bill came. The beer was still on the bill-whatever. More egregious was the fact that my meal was 4 dollars higher than what was on the menu. When we questioned it, the waitress told us that the kitchen told her that it was a four dollar upcharge because I ordered angel hair. My meal came with pasta. Every restaurant I've ever been to generally serves angel hair with chicken francaise. At no point were we ever told there was an upcharge for angel hair. How absurd!Any other restaurant would have taken the beer away and taken it off the bill and no restaurant I've ever been too would have charged more for ordering angel hair with a meal then usually comes with angel hair to begin with, especially without telling someone there would be an upcharge."
