"Michael Panzegraf and I went to Anita 's Restaurant in Nokomis to pick up a blueberry tiramisu and pumpkin pie.... so, we decided to eat there too. We decided to get broasted chicken. I had mashed potatoes and Mike had coleslaw. I had chicken lemon orzo soup and Mike had lentil soup. My soup was great. It was a rich chicken base with lots of orzo and a hint of lemon. It was seasoned perfectly. I didn 't even add pepper! I always add pepper. The chicken was pipung hot... the meat was tender and juicy. The skin was crispy crunchy and just delicious. Yanni came out to chat with us. Mike asked her when she was making octopus salad again. She looked at him with an uh oh look. She told him she had some in back. Dang! She brought out a small version of the salad. I 've had octopus a lot but it 's never as tender and delicious as the octopus at Anita 's! Then.... she brought out some beets. OMG! It had garlic, oil and lite seasoning. It was delicious. The service is always spectacular (I totally forgot to ask our server her name). Thank you Yanni for making my Thanksgiving desserts! I have a picture of the blueberry tiramisu. AND they are a long time business partner of the SWFL Club Loyalty card!"

The liver and onions served with mashed potatoes are exceptional—very tender and bursting with flavor. I also ordered the side Greek salad, which was a perfect portion and absolutely delicious. The waitress was wonderful. Excellent excellent service. The food was good and it was very hot temperature wise. Nice indoor decor. The portions were very large, so you could take some home and have a meal for the next day. The only problem yes, it's pricey for a family restaurant. I would recommend lowering the prices and maybe the serving sizes.
