"I can’t praise this place sufficiently. Peter, the bartender, is a real pro. But more importantly, the staff in the kitchen care. Every meal I had here was fantastic. Moreover, I felt great after eating there. All ingredients are top quality; the prep on everything is first rate; the imagination and concern for the customer’s experience is evident. I rarely leave reviews. But I felt obliged in this case. I live in Vermont. I’m here on business…but this place makes me want to move to Wisconsin. Eat here every meal you have in Marshfield. Try anything everything on the menu. You won’t be disappointed. The ribeye is exceptionally good. I will be back. Thanks, Lumberyard. You made my trip a positive gig."

"My husband and I enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. It was very clean with a decent atmosphere. Our server, Josie, was friendly and interacted well with us, which was a bonus. It's hard to find good personality in a server. I had the Jack Daniels burger, and my husband ordered something else that I can't recall. We also ordered cheese curds, hoping they were hand-dipped as stated on the menu, but unfortunately, they were not. They were store-bought curds from Neilsville. Our burgers were cooked medium instead of rare as we had ordered, which was disappointing. I had a side salad with bleu cheese dressing, which was excellent and chunky. My husband had sweet potatoes, which looked amazing. We were surprised to see a lot of mainstream dishes on the menu, leaving limited options for specialties. Despite these minor issues, we were happy with our stop and hope to visit again in the future."

"Loved it, first time eating here and it was great! Nice decor too. Edit: We used to go to El Sol at least once every week, but the quality of the food, service and atmosphere has declined so much. We still go seldomly but we are disappointed almost every time. sometimes for the food, sometimes for how loud music is, and almost every time for the service. We lost our favorite restaurant in Marshfield"

"I'm very up in the air about writing this. We just went there for a company function with a large group. The place looks great, the food was tasty and the drinks were delicious. Live music next to a beautiful pool area, wonderful! Service was absolutely great right up till the end. A server (not ours) dropped a bowl of salsa going back to the kitchen. It splattered on my legs and landed on my purse. Accidents happen, but no one there acknowledged it. I didn't even get offered a wet rag. I got up to go clean myself and my things in the bathroom and asked for a to go box for my stuff. Came back to a bunch of plates piled on my dish with the empty to go box next to it. Purse still smells like salsa and I didn't get all my food. Not the best experience. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Cheese Curds, Deep Fried Dill Pickle Spears"

"This place is my childhood, the restaurant is my adulthood haha. If you want above average food at an extremely affordable price when on a budget especially as anyone 20-35 years old like myself then this is the place; forget paying 30$ per person at Perkins for Denny low grade food come here truuust me you won't regret it. BLT is my favorite from here other than their fish fry and for $5 and $7 bucks you really can't beat it considering how much you get out of it."
