Aunt Catfish's On The River

This place was average. I ordered the wedge salad and soup and both were very good. Others in my party said their food was just ok. I did enjoy the sides bar. Grits were delicious and common in rolls are a nice treat after your meal.

This was the best restaurant experience I've had in a long time! The host was pleasant, my server Bailey was incredibly sweet and so attentive! I ordered fried catfish and it was PERFECT. Their buffet-style fixings were delicious and the cinnamon roll was so soft. I missed Happy Hour but I'll definitely be back!

We had cousin Ella and she was great, got the gator burger and unicorn fish dinner. Everything was really good, little buffet of sides with corn bread, baked beans, cheese grits, and potato salad were all good. They also have fresh baked cinnamon buns and the smell alone is delicious. Only thing was the hush puppies were a little over powered with an onion taste but that's just personal preference. My first visit to this restaurant in Port Orange Florida and it did not disappoint! I am a catfish lover and I felt like I hit a jackpot with this restaurant. They not only offer great catfish but they also offer cheesy grits, fries and freshly baked cinnamon rolls. The service was as excellent as the food. The first line of service when we entered the restaurant was a very friendly person that seated us almost immediately. The ambiance of the restaurant was friendly and inviting for a seafood joint. They do offer outside seating that is pleasant for enjoying a meal or a drink. It is on a river which gives great vibes for nice photo opportunities.

The food was delicious and plenty, You get an entrée then you get to go to a small Buffet bar called Camp fixings (baked beans, cheese grits, potato salad, cinnamon apples, coleslaw, corn bread including their famous homemade Cinnamon rolls all you can eat also . JService was excellent our waiters Drew who started out then Roderick who took over at shift change stayed on top of our table making sure everyone had what they needed. Atmosphere was great, sat looking out over the inlet waterway and as we were leaving entertainment was setting up for the night. Highly recommended if in The Ormond Daytona area. Sorry not every meal shown in pictures. All was excellent.

Regretfully I didn't get pictures of our food. Decided on a whim to go here for the lunch specials. When we got there we had ample parking and was seated right away. We got a seat directly with a water view, it was beautiful. Our server asked if we ever been before which we had not. He went over the menu and the specials of the day. He explained what the all you can eat fish camp fixins were. Which is potato salad, broccoli salad, pickled beats, cole slaw, baked beans, cornbread cheese grits stewed apples and hot fresh cinnamon rolls! All included in the price. This is a large rest with impressive views of the water. We were seated rather quickly and our sever Alex took drink orders quickly. I ordered some unsweetened ice tea, the catfish filets and a bowl of New England clam chowder. Sadly the tea was not unsweetened, and I am a bad diabetic. The sugar in the tea made my sugar go up rather fast and I wasn't able to eat even a few more bites of food. I told Alex that he brought me sugared ice tea and he didn't seem all that concerned. He did replace it, but by then the damage was already done. I ended up leaving without eating. This place is definitely a spot worth stopping in! My dad and I was on a family road trip and wanted some seafood! I found this on Yelp and decided to pop in! Now it's super busy! It's a popular spot in the area! It was a Thursday when we came so I can only imagine a weekend day. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We got carry out which seems to be rare. Typically the manager on duty is suppose to take carry out orders. I sat at the bar and got a margarita and boy was it made perfectly! The bartenders were so nice! My wife and I stopped by Aunt's Catfish for a late lunch the other day. It was our first time and a by chance visit. The restaurant is located on the Halifax River by the Dunlawton Ave Bridge. There is a dock you can walk out on before or after your meal. The restaurant is nice with large window views of the river. I was impressed by the manager who was running the place like a well oiled machine. Our server's name was Tyra B. She was very pleasant and hustled like all the other servers.
