"Only tried to order food here once, and once was enough; terrible experience. I walked in and asked for a take out menu, and was told by the woman working the reception counter that they did not have take out menu 's. She suggested I either go out in my car in the parking lot and google their menu yes, she suggested I go look at the menu out in the parking lot or I could scan a code that was on one of the tables and view the take out menu which, I had no idea what she was taking about. I told her I thought it was strange that they did not have take out menus, to which she then replied that they in fact DID have take out menus, but that I couldn 't have it; apparently, for some strange reason, she thought I was going to steal the restaurant 's take out menu? I told her all I wanted to take was some food, and asked for the menu, AGAIN, she says 'you can 't take it with you, '? I order my food, $20 $25 dollars worth, two items, and she says it will be ready in ten minutes. I leave, come back about 12 minutes later. A woman walking by asks if I 'm being helped she was very nice and I reply that I 'm picking up a takeout order. The woman working the reception counter then comes from around the corner, and I ask her if my order is ready. She gives no reply or any kind, walks to the computer, prints up my order, and walks away with it headed I assumed the kitchen; again, not a word to me; no answer to my question, nor does she say she 's checking on it, nothing. After a few seconds I walk over towards the kitchen and see her again, I assume hand my order into the kitchen; meaning she never placed my order in the first place maybe, I don 't know, because she 's not communicating with me or the kitchen never bothered to make it. Either way I ask for a manger he 's right there behind the bar and inquire what is going on with my order. He checks and says they are making it; but it should have been made already. So I ask for a refund, and tell him not to make the food. I wait another ten minutes for him to figure out how to do a refund, while I 'm waiting, the same miserable woman working the reception counter has the nerve to walk over and try to hand me the order like nothing happened no 'sorry ', or 'this is free ', or 'would you like your order? '; again, NOT A SINGLE KIND WORD TO ME, or any words at all! I just shake my head that I don 't want the food; who would have an apatite by now, not me? Now, if the order was going to take ten minutes, tell me to come back in ten minutes, if twenty, tell me that, if forty five, tell me that. But don 't say ten and then not say 'sorry, ' if the food is late; because all I wanted was to be treated like a human being by her at Baba, and I was not. I have no idea if the food is any good here, and never will; nor do I know if I will even get my refund the manger had to make a phone cal to figure it out, so? but I will tell you this... it will be worth the 20 bucks to never deal with the Baba restaurant ever again; you 'll encounter better service when ordering a Filet O Fish at McDonald 's. Update: had to call then today because they took my money for food I never received, as I was told by a second manager that a third manager would look into it and now I have to wait for that; so, yes, they even screwed up the refund. Terrible experience ordering from Baba. Update: Called my card company cashapp today, 5/13/24, and they claim that Baba has yet to initiate any refunds in their system. Will keep updating; to recap; Baba took $22.47 on 5/5/24, then assured me they were doing an instantaneous refund, a few days later, after not receiving my refund, another manager assured me they were doing an instantaneous refund. It 's now 5/13//24, and my card company assures me Baba took my money, for food I did not receive, and that they have yet to issue any refund on their end of the system. This is the first time in my"

Great spot, beautiful decor and quiet ambiance, all the food was delicious and plated well. Lovely experience. Parking was not easy as it shares a lot with a business next door, so carpool if you can!

My dinner was delicious and my waiter was very engaging. The hand rolls are very good and I highly recommend them! It was surprisingly not too loud considering I was sitting in the middle of the room. So good! 5 stars, all of them, deserved.

First time visitor(s), 530pm on a Friday. No parking issues, party of 2 seated immediately. More expensive than most other sushi I've had but no complaints about the quality. Everything was delicious. Only been to Kaizen down the street once and we would come back to Baba first. Nicer establishment

Love the vibe, food, and service at Baba. Yes, its competitor just up the street is also very good and probably beats for the sushi purists, but I really do prefer Baba. It's roomier, more low-key, and has some limited outdoor deck seating. Just be careful of the rusty wrought iron tables that need refinishing if you're wearing shorts or a skirt. Note to mgmt: The deck could also use some ceiling fans to keep the mosquitos away. It's a lovely place to dine; could be so much better with just a few small improvements! Hope Baba continues to do well in Fiskdale.
