"Terrible, Terrible, Terrible, but they made it right after we complained. We went to Bareburger after it came recommended by friends. We went at 5:15 on Sunday evening and the place was not crowded. We were seated immediately and read their iPad menus at our table. When we ordered our drinks, I asked specifically if they had Diet Coke and was told “Yes!”. When we got our drinks it clearly was not Diet Coke but some off brand soda. Strike 1. We order the Cauliflower Bites for appetizer, two burgers ordered medium, and a chicken sandwich. We ordered waffle fries and regular fries as sides with the burgers. Time went by and then more time went by. Finally our food came, and the chicken sandwich was the first to go back. It was loose and gamey and just had an odd taste. We were asked if we would like something else. We ordered a salad as a replacement. The next to go back were the sides of fries. Both the waffle fries and regular fries were ice cold. I don’t understand how, in a restaurant that hardly has anybody in it, fries are served cold. The regular fries were replaced with hot fries. The next issue was both burgers. The “Standard” burger we ordered came out with an “Extra Paddy” that we did not order, so we sent that back to be corrected. And when we got it back with just the single paddy, it was beyond well done even though it was ordered medium. The other burger was cooked fine but it was tough meat. It was very strange. So here’s where things started to get slightly better but also concerning. The cook came out to the dining room and was making his rounds at the tables. When he got to our table I was honest with him and he was very receptive and kind. I asked him why the burger was so tough. I thought it would be juicy and delicious. His response was that they were out of their normal burger rub and he had to improvise with salt and pepper. The salt that he used dried out the burger making to outer shell of the burger tougher than normal. This is the cook telling me this. This blew my mind. How does this happen. The entire point of the place is to serve awesome burgers. And their signature burger cannot even be created to correct way drastically changing the final product. He was very kind about it and in fact told me to complain to corporate because he didn’t think it was right to be serving burgers this way. He also apologized for the cold fries and the overcooked burger. He was super respectful and really did appreciate our feedback. We were done at that point. We asked for the check, and this was shocking too. Nothing was removed from the check. In fact they were still charging us for the “Extra Paddy” on the overcooked burger. It was like a weird twilight zone. We asked for a manager. She came over and was also very nice and respectful. She immediately understood the situation and didn’t hesitate to make it right. She comped the whole meal and went above and beyond and gave a $25 gift card to come back. It was a very nice gesture. I am giving this review 1 star for the service and the food. Both the cook and the manager were top notch as far as their customer service goes, but maybe not the product that they are selling. I will return for another try since they gave us the gift card."

This restaurant provides a pleasant and laid-back ambiance. The menu offers a wide range of options, with a particular focus on vegan dishes. The service is efficient. I am not a fan of the iPad menu as it restricts customization of your order. The burgers are tasty but not exceptional. Some items on the menu are a bit pricey.

I ordered a club soda and it came with old slimy lemon. I ordered the matador, the avacado was oxidized brown) the tomato was mushy old af) and the burger was well done when i ordered medium, and it had bits of fat in it. You know when you bite into it and you feel that stringy sensation. The waiter was nice, the food was trash Never coming back here

My date and I recently visited this restaurant and were blown away by the variety of options on the menu. I decided to try the Smoky Blue Burger with a side of Brussel sprouts and iced tea. We also ordered a side of fries, which were delicious. Our server was fantastic, the food came out promptly, and it was all incredibly tasty. We both plan on returning and highly recommend this place!

I visited Bareburger today and I'm delighted to say that I had an excellent experience. I ordered the American burger while my husband opted for the Spicy Ranch Chicken sandwich. Both dishes were packed with delicious ingredients and tasted fantastic! We also enjoyed some wings, brussel sprouts, fries, onion rings, and a delicious milkshake called the Cupid Shake. The Menu reads well and concept seemed very cool organic and renewable etc But from the beginning we knew service was going to be weak, quality of food was comparable to processed multi chain restaurant. We had Burger type sandwiches they pretty weak quality no seasoning, dry, over cooked, over dressed . Our server disappeared, no refills on beverages ...on and onI’m sure the original location made their food from scratch and had a service culture. This one is a miss

What a delightful experience! I ordered my food for pickup since the restaurant doesn't have indoor dining. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and answered all of my questions. I tried the Smokey blue burger, a sampler of Brussels sprouts, wings, fries, and onion rings, as well as a Valentine's Day pomegranate shake- everything was excellent! The bison burger was cooked perfectly and the hot honey topping was delicious. The onion rings were the best I've ever had- so crunchy and flavorful! The Brussels sprouts and fries were both crispy. I was looking forward to trying this Bareburger because I loved the one in Montclair. I called in my ordered and asked the man if I could eliminate the brussel sprouts, onion rings and the milkshake. He said he would ask the cook. So I placed my order of the So Cal Turkey Burger, naked wings and fries. I asked if I could have a side of buffalo sauce and ketchup and he said yes. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. Keep in mind parking over here is not easy. When I walked in the female employee asked if I needed help and I told her I called in my order. Was looking for a good place that had gluten free options as a friend is allergic to wheat and stumbled across this little gem. They have a tray impressive menu with a wide variety of delicious options for a wide variety of people. If you’re a vegan, no problem! 50% of the menu is vegan friendly. Need gluten-free? No problem! They have gluten-free buns and even their chicken tenders are gluten-free. I ended up building a custom burger and all of the ingredients tasted fresh and delicious! The staff is friendly and willing to provide recommendations. They have awesome sides as well! The onion rings were delicious and perfectly cooked.
