"Whilst visiting Arles for the day, my husband and I happened upon this little café which is conveniently located just around the corner from the 'Espace Van Gogh '. This is obviously a great location for tourists to be able to find it, but while we were there it was apparent that locals also frequent this little café, which is always a good indication of great food and service! We went with the 'maxi menu ' which offered a choice of any three items plus a drink. The mini menu offers a choice of two. So we had a slice of a different tart each, plus a different salad bowl each, and both chose to have a slice of fig walnut tart for dessert each. He had a herbal iced tea, whilst I chose a bottle of fizzy mineral water. At €9.90 each we considered this to be a feast and amazing value. Actually the Buddha Bowl that my husband selected had a surcharge of a couple of Euro extra, but it was worth it. I describe our choices on the photos supplied. The portions proved to be plenty and our appetites were well satisfied. Additionally we loved that the owners aim to have no wastage and encourage customers to recycle any packaging (for example the plastic bottle from my water and the cardboard containers from the salads) by having a disposal station just inside the door with recycling bins plus shelves to place used cutlery, plates and glassware. So easy and satisfying! We 're native speakers but speak French so didn 't test them on their English but they advertise that they speak English which is always a bonus in France. Overall a welcome and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Highly recommended whether you 're vegan, vegetarian or flexitarian like us and simply looking for a healthy lunch!"
