"My husband and I went to Big Bad Breakfast for brunch. We were not impressed. It seems to cater towards tourists with the prices. The portion sizes do not live up to the name of the restaurant. I ordered the big bad breakfast skillet and was underwhelmed by the portion size. It was tasty but not $15 worth of food. I also had a cup of cofee that cost about $4.50, I could see if it was good quality coffee but it wasn't. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles but the chicken didn't taste like it was seasoned. The waitress seemed like she wasn't feeling well or was tired. She barely interacted with us and never asked my husband if he wanted a refill on his water. He ended up drinking some of mine since his cup was empty. The atmosphere is nice, but there is not much parking. We drove around the block twice before finally getting a spot. All in all, our experience was just okay. We'll leave it to the tourists....Dietary restrictions: I have a gluten sensitivity and they do have gluten free bread for toast.Parking: They have very very limited parking. Street parking is limited also."

Jarod was fantastic. A true blend of enthusiasm and authenticity. The French toast was amazing!! Also recommend the grapefruit brulee, huevos rancheros and steak and eggs.

One of if not the most packed breakfast joints in town but it'll be worth your wait. The food is great the option offer a variety to choose from and many options aren't offering anywhere else in town.

Aptly named this breakfast doesn’t disappoint if you’re hungry. Cajun omelette was recommended as a top item (chef is from Louisiana I was told). Omelette was 5 stars, salad and fries were an interesting twist. I’ll be

College town style breakfast place. Friendly staff and tasty dishes. Comfortable if you?re young at heart (more mature patrons may find it noisy and the schoolhouse furniture uncomfortable). Fun and enjoyable. Avocado toast was excellent. Visualizza piatti

The Food was delicious ? The jelly was made from scratch and I had the peach jelly. SOOO GOOD! The peppered biscuit was unlike any I've tasted. AMAZING and I'm not a biscuit eater. The rest of the dish, a skillet, was good. The sausage was different tasting. Not sure what the taste, maybe andouille?

I have been here many times. The food is usually very good. We had the shrimp and grits and French toast. Both tasted good. I also had the big bad breakfast. I-was so disappointed- everything was cold and looked like leftovers.I didn’t eat it and told the waiter. He took it off the bill. The waiter was very nice and attentive.Atmosphere is nice. Kid friendly. Dog friendly outside area.Parking is hard to find.

What a find! Low country favorites, with a chef's twists. Scrambled eggs with chili peppers and fried oysters were a knockout, especially with smoked sausage on the side. Low country skillet also great. But the biscuits wow. Unlike too many biscuitsthese days, these have a crispy bottom and outer layer perfection. Break them open and add one of the house made jams.Friendly service, and great basic coffee too. Visualizza piatti

Very busy. Expensive. Mediocre food. There's really nothing special about this place. The plating of food is a mess. My dish, the redneck benny, looked more like a train wreck. One of the people in the party ordered some sort of spicy morning drink. It's served with a slice of bacon and okra sitting on top. ????I died laughing when I saw that monstrosity. If you want some good ole redneck cuisine with a side of indigestion, this is your place.

BBB is the only place I've seen locally that serves tomato gravy. Give it a try if you go. That said, the breakfast here was average. The biscuit was more dense than I prefer. I like mine light and fluffy. I had the Breakfast Crumble, and the tomatogravy is what made it good. The eggs were perfectly poached. I didn't care for the crispy hash cake. It was also too dense in myopinion. My husband loves sausage gravy but didn't eat much of it. It reminded me more of a sawmill gravy. He didn't like theflavor of the bacon, either. The pancake was ok, but the syrup was not good at all. It will do if you are hungry and in thearea. I would not drive or walk out of my way for it.

"I just have one word that describes my experience here. WOW It was an absolute experience coming here. We were in town for my birthday and decided to eat here for my bday dinner/last night in Charleston. The vibe and atmosphere were classy, fun, and calming. They have a main bar area where you can grab a drink while you wait for a table and can be quite lively later in the evening. The dining rooms are towards the back, a lot quieter and more intimate so has a flavor for whatever you are into. The service was absolutely perfect. Our server (I wish I would have gotten her name she served our party of two at 10pm on Saturday 8/17) was so insanely friendly and personable. She knew her stuff and then some when it came to presenting the menu, but also would come chat with us and give us tips and recs for Charleston as she knew we were from out of town. They also gave us a free cheesecake and glasses of champagne on the house for our celebration. Just overall made us feel incredibly special and welcomed (we don't normally eat at places like this lol). The food, omg.....I am not overstating or being hyperbolic.......this was hands down without a doubt the greatest steak I have ever had in my life. Nothing even comes close. I had the Dry Aged Ribeye, and it has completely ruined steak for me because nothing will ever be that good. My girlfriend got the Filet, and it was in the same ballpark. Just legendary. We also got a side of the lobster Mac Cheese and it was fluffy with a perfect crust on top. Amazing flavor and texture. If you ever have the opportunity to dine, do yourself a favor and go. This was one of the best dinner experiences I have ever had. Thank you for making it a wonderful experience to the wait staff, the chef, servers, everyone there played a part and gave me a memory I will hold onto forever. Thank you!!"

"My fiancé and I were engaged on 12/22/17 and he planned our solemn dinner with Circa 1886, and it was nothing less amazing. Charles was our waiter and delivered the best service we had ever experienced. The next day we even called the restaurant to rave over our experience. The service was like a clockwork, but we were not rushed. Our glasses were never half empty and our cutlery was replaced by any course. We received free champagne regularly $34/glass) and customized congratulation menus to start the meal. All the questions we had on the menu were answered and Charles gave great suggestions for meals. I ordered the Intermezzo cocktail and my fiancée ordered the famous Scotch cocktail, both were great. We ordered the scallops and the beets and chèvre as starters. The scallops were cooked for perfection. Very buttery and melt in your mouth - I wish more than 2 came on the plate! The beet and the Chèvre were exquisite with cool goat cheese sauce. We ate every bite. 2 bite-sized free snacks were provided by the cook - one was a spoon with a cheese cube, almond and cherry, the other was a divided Lima bean soup. YUM. As for dinner, my fiancée did the 5 courses tasting menu beef pate, heirloom tomato salad, pheasant, lamb, pumpkin soap) and he enjoyed everything. The portions were generous and Charles gave me additional plates so that I could choose the different dishes. I ordered the triple potato gratin I am vegetarian and it was from this world. Very sweet and delicious. Charles then surprised me with a free dessert course of the Smores). Both plates were decorated with congratulations in chocolate - it was a very special note. When we included the $200 check with a generous tip) we felt like the experience and the food was worth 100% the money. We will definitely be back and would recommend everyone and everyone."
