I just spent $10.00 on a sandwich loaded with toppings, and it was disappointing once again. What's happening?

I've been coming to Bistro 2121 since I began working in the building 3.5 years ago and have watched the menu significantly improve, complemented by fantastic staff. While the prices can be a bit high, the convenience is unbeatable, especially when you're pressed for time. I visit Bistro 2121 two to three times a month specifically for the salad bar, though I’ve never tried anything else on the menu. The cafe offers a wide selection of drinks and snacks, along with some hot food options. The service is consistently good. I would appreciate more vegetable variety at the salad bar since most of the options are quite basic. Overall, I’m glad to have this deli conveniently located near my office.

My usual choice is the pastrami sandwich on a roll, as it's quick and convenient. However, the layout of the restaurant can be somewhat confusing. The extensive salad bar is currently closed due to the pandemic. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, this is the only convenient spot for lunch until the Walnut Creek Transit Village opens up. Once that happens, I believe this place may encounter some competition. The outdoor seating area is quite pleasant, with tables nicely spaced apart and umbrellas for shade.

I have never seen such a s* show. I don't even leave reviews, but this definitely deserves one Guys. What the actual F . So people are not coming to your bistro because your food is trash. I just walked in and purchased a side of fries. NOT ONLY DID THE PRICE GO UP A DOLLAR you give me less than the usual amount? I will never come back here. This place is going down hill so fast. The only reason you're still in business is because you're convenient and not a far walk. Getting new cooks every few months because the previous one was terrible. Ive had great experiences here as I work in the area.....not sure why the poor reviews... Yes the snacks can be a bit steep and line can be confusing if you are new to this place but cmon give it a chance fellow yelpers! Super friendly staff, always greeting me with a smile. Look out for the daily specials. They have options from the grill, sandwiches, a full salad bar, Mexican, Middle eastern, the list goes on.
