"I just dined here last night and I can’t say anything nice about my experience. The servers had to be told to take our order after letting us sit without even bread for over an hour. My cocktail came in a chipped glass. The service was incredibly slow and the food came out as if it had been sitting on a counter for hours. My COLD spinach lasagna was gross. I’ve had better at places that charge half the price. Lean Cuisine’s version had more flavor now that I think about it. Several other diners had to send their food back because it was inedible. The caesar salad was wilted lettuce and soggy croutons. And that was just the dinner! The real fun came when it was time for our party to pay for their food. After waiting forever, the manager tried to give us a check for $1,000+ (it was a large group) on a hand-written bill and no itemization. He refused to show a printed check or give them individual checks (even though the menu had been presented on a per person basis). When diners attempted to remind him that their food had been sent back, he started insulting guests (which, not like this should matter, but were comprised of lawyers, educators and other professionals) with racist comments suggesting that somehow his restaurant was a step above the group’s dining experiences. When one guest complained about their GROSS lobster ravioli, he said "You’ve probably never even had lobster, what would you know. When another guest reminded him that her food was cold and she sent it back, he said “this isn’t IHOP lady, you eat your food – no sending it back.” Although the staff was nice enough and kept apologizing for their manager’s behavior, this restaurant was inexcusably bad and should not be supported."

Really liked the Seoma Cabernet they were pouring. The smoked salmon was recommended and I have to say that it did taste good. I was mainly after a Caesar salad when I walked in, which I had it was really good as well. The prices didn’t set me back too much either, which is what I would expect of a bistro, so I plan to bring my boyfriend there, as soon as I can find one… : Visualizza piatti

I approached Bistro Bistro warily, having read some less than flattering reviews, but my friend really wanted to check it out. I was glad that we did. The decor is not great with bright yellow walls, odd art, TV showing sports, and oddly placed tables. And the dining room was warm. Overall, I thought it was a good meal and a good value. Because we got there early (around 6 pm on a weekday), we enjoyed a pretty decent glass of house wine for only $2.50. Traditional French food can be a bit heavy for warm DC summer but we were both satisifed with our meals (the hanger steak and the duck, about $19 each). I especially enjoyed the orange sauce with the duck although the duck was a touch over-coo...

We visited on Sat night June 13. We found that the restaurant only opened about a week ago. This should have been a big hint about things to transpire but we were so hungry and wanted to sit down so we went in. Just how new the restaurant was became readily apparent as soon as we sat down. Staff didn’t seem to know what waiter had what tables as after some time passed, we had to flag down the person who sat us to ask him who our waite was. We ordered a bottle of wine which took awhile to arrive. Waitress had difficulty with corkscrew and I was tempted to grab it from her as I could have done it much more quickly! Our orders were taken but after some time passed, waitress came back to tell us...

"I typically always forget to write google reviews but this place deserves every word I have to say. I found this spot because the luggage storage app, bounce, sent me here to hold my bags while I toured apartments for the day. Before I left my bags, I decided to try a quiche which was so much better than expected. Growing up in my father's deli, I tend to have high standards for most food because I can usually recognize good ingredients so safe to say I was definitely pleasantly surprised with my quiche. Around mid-day I fell walking around in NoMa and severely hurt my knee. Rather than continuing my tours for the day I decided to come back to pick up my bags and potentially go to the airport to arrive early for my flight. When I got to Old City Market and Oven, they actually gave me ice for my knee and let me sit downstairs uninterrupted. While I was downstairs the cashier told me to call the number in case I needed anything so they can come down and help because they didn't want me walking up the stairs for anything stupid. To say they were sweet was understatement, the level of care I received felt like I was in one of my dad's restuarants growing up which in my opinion is not something you see these days. I decided to have a pizza while I waited because another customer said it was amazing. Even though I was skeptical due to the paper menu, they really did their big one with that pear pizza. This spot really made my day and it makes me happy establishments at this tier still exist."

"For a special occasion, make a reservation at Michelin star Reverie, a small restaurant inside a Georgetown alley. If you 're lucky, you 'll meet Poppy the Alley Cat that is taken care of by the community, including by the staff at Reverie. My wife dined at Reverie on a Thursday evening. Here 's our experience. 1) Experience: It 's a Michelin star restaurant so expect superb service. It 's clear that the chef is passionate about his craft and his passion is contagious. Every staff member from our server to the chefs who brought out our food, everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. Throughout the stay, we were given wet towels to wash our hands in between snacks. Our water glasses were kept full. If we really loved a dish, our server would point out elements or teach us tips on how to use similar flavors at home. The journey begins with savory snacks and ends with sweet ones. Since the menu changes often, a copy of your dinner 's meu is given to you to take home at the end. It 's a perfect memento, especially if you 're celebrating something special. 2) Food: Reverie 's menu changes, but whatever you 're served will be innovative, fresh, and full of flavor. It 's also a tasting menu. When we went in May 2025, the menu included 17 different bites/dishes. The meal starts and ends with three small bites. The next nine dishes mainly included seafood and one was elk. Every dish is presented on a design-forward plate and came in full color and plated perfectly. A sign of a good restaurant is perfection in every dish and there wasn 't a bad one. We thoroughly enjoyed every single one, but our favorites were the Scallop, which comes in a fun sunchoke cracker sandwich, Hiramasa with juniper and caviar, and the Carolina Gold Rice. 3) Drink: Reverie 's drink menu comes with cocktails named after neighborhoods from around the world, wine, and other options. The Golden Gai is now my wife 's favorite Old Fashioned. She ordered two. For a sweeter refreshing cocktail, get the Old San Juan. For a refreshing, but sherry-forward cocktail, I recommend the Roma Notre. The dinner begins with chilled tea for all and it is very tasty. Savor it. At the end, you 'll have an opportunity to order more tea. Each blend is unique. I recommend any of it. 4) Price: It 's $245 a person for the tasting menu and additional prices for drinks, but for a quality dinner experience, it could be more expensive. We found it to be a fair price, especially for a special occasion. 5) Space: It 's beautiful! The design is not ornate, but rather simple, making it classy. There are two unisex restrooms in the back. When you sit down, you 're offered small stools to place your phones, belongings, etc. 6) Neighborhood: Inside an alley, there 's much to explore nearby from other top restaurants, cafes, and historic homes. We usually find street parking nearby by the Georgetown Waterfront Park. Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
