"I visited this A&W Restaurant on Sunday August 18, and was blown away about the service I received there. I had an experience that I feel does not happen near enough anymore in our society. There was an extra bonus in the service and her name was Teresa, and she went out of her way to get a couple extra things we had forgotten to ask for when we ordered. This wasn't a slow time of day for business as the drive thru was full hence why we went inside to find it was no empty house inside either. We got our food to go, and when she returned to bring us the extra things we both had our hands full with everything and she took the time to take each bag from our hands and place the things in the bags returning them to our full hands whith a smile on her face the entire time. Still smiling as she walked back to her duties she said thank you ladies and have a great rest of your day. I was in so much amazement that this still does happen in some places I didn't even give her a tip. I feel horrible about not tipping her but rest assured when I return there again and I will for sure be doing that I will double tip her to make up for it. So kudos to youdos Miss Teresa at Iola, KS A&W. You made our day a brighter day!"

"The starter was good but everything else was bad. We got there about 6:30 and we didn't leave till about 8:45. I ordered the build your own Burger, my burger was tasteless and burnt, my buns were burnt, my bacon was burnt and my chili tasted weird. And it came out looking like the size of a slider and I had maybe like 13 fries for $13. We were about to pay and walk out just with our starter because our food took so long. The servers were more worried about putting chairs on tables then were about serving customers. It's gone downhill since they moved and we're never going back!"

"This restaurant has really good food. It's greasy, but it's delicious. The past two times I've went there, we had stale bread. I don't care, I'm a machine, but my girlfriend was displeased. The food usually leaves her feeling sick but she has a sensitive stomach so that's not entirely the restaurant's fault. My problem is in the service though. I feel like the guy who works the counter is stressed out, and he has been rather snappy on occasion. Just let him cook the burgers. That guy makes the best DANG BURGERs I've ever tasted, and I think it'd be best if he could focus where he's talented rather than having to run the front as well. Also, the way you guys respond to these reviews is pretty unprofessional. Let these people speak their feelings without snapping back, it's not quip for quip, its just two immature people going back and forth. Kind of amusing though... In a way where I'm watching my favorite restaurant go back and forth like two toddlers fighting over a tablet. Please, take this review with a grain of salt. I'm a cold-hearted cynic and I really do love this place. I have some issues here and there, like the prices take a hole out of my wallet, which means I only get to go maybe once or twice a month. Don't do anything to that dude though, I don't care if he yells at me sometimes, just have him cook instead of cashier and life will be good. Also, GET THIS PLACE ON DOORDASH!! Having this straight to my door would be a life changer. To wrap up, great spot for people who live in town, but if you're from out of town, you might get the wrong idea."

"I have frequented this establishment since it opened. Owners are nice people and try. But unfortunately their staff always seem to let them down. I usually don't leave reviews, certainly not poor ones. But time after time I have received poor customer service in this establishment. Today topped it. The hostess didn't speak to us or acknowledge that we were waiting at the door. When she did, no smile rude tone. Only asked how many. Threw menus on a table and walked away, never smiling and only mumbles. Appeared annoyed we were there and we were putting her out to seat us 8 feet from the door. She was extremely upset when I said I preferred a booth. Which by the way was only because I have a joint disorder and the booth seating causes me less discomfort than their chairs. But hey, it inconvenienced her. This is the LAST time I will go there. The food is generally good, but slow to arrive. Wait staff is typically decent, but this is the 3rd time a hostess or staff member has been horribly rude. 3 strikes ..I'm done."

"I would give this place zero stars if I could. The staff consists of careless young people, and during my last three visits, they managed to forget 1-2 items from my order each time. It's a frustrating experience, and when I've tried to call and let them know about the mistakes, they simply hang up on me. People spend between $10 and $30 on their orders, yet Taco Bell never seems to get the orders right and shows no interest in correcting their mistakes. The staff can be rude about their errors as well. It's hard to believe that no one has contacted a manager or taken action regarding these issues. For a period when only young employees were working, they even started closing the restaurant early, at 9 or 10 PM instead of 12."
