"Nestled along a charming curve of the Blue Ridge Parkway, this restaurant is a worthwhile pitstop, even if I wouldn't specifically drive out just for it. The ambiance is relaxed, and my waitress was friendly. They accept credit cards, and the food is quite good. I tried the pimento cheese appetizer and the salmon salad. The appetizer was a generous portion for $8, served with celery and toasted bread rounds. The salad was impressively loaded with salmon—definitely the most I've ever seen on a salad—and was an incredible value at just over $10. They use biodegradable straws rather than the flimsy paper ones that fall apart easily. One downside is that they don’t offer Wi-Fi, which was a bit inconvenient since I had no cell service in this remote part of North Carolina. On a positive note, I managed just fine without it! Parking is somewhat limited right in front of the restaurant, but additional parking can be found along the roadside a little further down. The restrooms were clean and cute, and the restaurant itself was airy, though a bit sticky from the oppressive humidity. By the way, I didn't check the menu before arriving, so just a heads-up: it’s American cuisine, not Swiss."

"here for lunch, would not recommend again. 7 dollar 16 oz milkshake is not worth it. philly cheese steak was not good. coleslaw had zero sauce, nothing. Now I know that some places have a hard time with help that people do not show, so hopefully this was on the off day or a Monday hard start. but 28 bucks for lunch. I would go in tropical grill, 55 diner or even hardee’s before here. we work in that and there is better for her buck! much luck if they have problems with the personal. it was hard for everyone."

"First off, it’s located in the quaint little town of Spruce Pine. Owners are on site and wait staff is superb! Friendly atmosphere! My husband got the Breakfast Platter. He ate every bite. He is picky and hard to please, so need I say more. Before we left he was planning next visit! Coffee was spot on! Loved this place and we will be back…soon."
