"I looked up some places for Breakfast/Brunch and Blue Cafe came up multiple times as one of the best options. I stopped by this morning, just before they opened, and the place was already bustling with eager customers. The staff was friendly and seated us promptly. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and not too filling. We ordered the Crabcake Eggs Benedict, Warsaw Skillet, and Paris Morning dishes, all of which were absolutely delicious. We finished off our meal with a Polish Donut, which was a perfect end to our morning. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to come back for more. It does get crowded, so I suggest arriving early. The tables are kept moving with a recommended 1-hour limit per table. Enjoy! I certainly did."

"I had been going to this place since it opened. Food is good. Portions kept getting smaller and smaller. Sylvia's brother opened Thai Villa in Bernardsville and we started going there. Generous portions and food was better! Unfortunately Jeff closed his restaurant recently and is now partnering with his sister Sylvia in Basking Ridge. Got take out the other day and instead of improving with Jeff being there the portions were SMALLER. Let me explain. Got Hot and sour shrimp soup and there were two shrimp in it. At Jeff's place I got four. The satay was a joke. Four skewers with three very small pieces of chicken. About a tablespoon if that of peanut saice. No cucumber salad. At Jeff's place five skewers with 5-6 good sized pieces of chicken, plenty of peanut sauce and salad. I ordered Pad Ba Mee, egg noodles with lots of veg. What I got was Lo mein noodles with a few pieces of broccoli and some onions. None of the noodle dishes on the menu fit that description. And it barely filled the container. To be fair the food was acceptable tasting. However I can get twice the amount of food for half the price at the Chinese restaurant next door. Will not be going back any time soon. There is a new Thai place opening in Bernardsville soon, will be trying that."

"Great location in beautiful Bernardsville and an intimate vibe inside with lots of little tables. We had a reservation at 645 but still had to wait 25 minutes to be seated. The hostess seemed inconvenienced by me asking if our table was ready yet. Many people came in after us and were brought to their seats quickly. We had 2 appetizers: Mussels flavor was good (some were sandy) and Zucchini chips. They were razor this so you couldn’t taste the zucchini and the breading crunchy but didn’t have any flavor either. One of us ordered lamb ossobuco which was she said was delicious. Another ordered the short rib she said it was good. I had the Ahi tuna but was very overcooked and so was the rice. The wasabi soy sauce was harsh not aromatic or blended not enjoyable. The restaurant was extremely hot. Heat was pumping hard and the place was packed so it was uncomfortable. It was loud so we had to shout at each other to have conversation but it was a perfect place for a boisterous girls night out. The waiter and waitress were excellent and the food was delivered timely. I wanted to love everything about this place, but it just didn’t happen."

"The restaurant spans two floors, which can feel a bit cramped at times. The food was excellent, but the service did not meet our expectations. Our server didn’t check on us throughout the meal; we were in need of drink refills, and dirty plates lingered on the table. To our dismay, the server didn’t even smile. However, the owner more than compensated for this with his warm demeanor and humor. We started with the Vongole Oreganata, which featured baked Little Neck Clams with seasoned crumbs — I only wished there had been more, as it was outstanding! We also enjoyed the Insalate Mista, a fresh salad with seasonal mixed greens, tomato, peppers, cucumbers, dressed with olive oil and red wine vinegar. For our main courses, we had the Sogliola Alla Oreganata, a fresh filet of sole with lemon, garlic, and herbs that was light and delicious (and I usually don’t enjoy fish), as well as the Vitello La Marsala, featuring veal scaloppine in a Sicilian Marsala sauce with mushrooms and prosciutto — it was simply fantastic, with the veal being incredibly tender. For dessert, we ordered an unforgettable amaretto cake (I can't recall the name, but it was wonderful!) and their tiramisu, both of which were perfect endings to our meal. We also enjoyed a couple of Old Fashioneds (average) and some prosecco. In terms of pricing, it is on the higher side, but absolutely worth it. Overall, I would rate this experience 4.5 stars, if only the service had been better. Enjoy!"

"Great place, great food, excellent service. However DO NOT make reservation through open table they award you NO POINTS for a dollars dinner for Make reservations using their phone line. I am boycotting open table as much as I can from now on."
