"Don't be deceived by the exterior! This place serves delicious food with plenty of options. I suggest dining outside in the back, where there’s a lovely mural. So far, I've had sandwiches and wraps, and each one was very filling—I couldn't finish any in one sitting! It seems a couple runs this establishment, and they are both very courteous to their customers. The woman, in particular, is exceptionally kind to kids. I highly recommend stopping by for a well-deserved meal at a great price."

Best lunch. The couple that runs it are the nicest people I had the pleasure of getting a sandwich out, and it just happens that the sandwiches are also great. 10/10. You also have a really nice lil backyard to eat when it is beautiful. 11/10.

I vividly remember it was January 2019 when I had just arrived in NYC from Singapore and randomly discovered this café. To my surprise, the owners were also from Singapore! What a small world! "I thoroughly enjoyed the food at this restaurant. However, I felt that the waitress was a bit rushed and seemed annoyed when I mentioned that the cappuccino/espresso was cold. Instead of apologizing, she simply expressed her surprise that it was cold. She did offer to warm them up in the microwave, which she did. Two of our guests voiced their complaints, and she kindly removed that charge from the bill, but the other two guests were too polite to say anything. I might consider giving this place another shot, but I’m not sure I’d want to have the same waitress again."

"Had been to Wilkes previously for a sandwich that was stacked with meat and cheese. Decided to come back for wraps and was severely disappointed. Asked for Kathy’s chicken salad which is still on the menu in store and was told they don’t make that at all anymore. They are the skinniest wraps ever seen and barely filled at all. Won’t return again as they are not worth the money they charge for it. The customer service was less than friendly as well."

"I visited this restaurant for the first time on 11/26 because I was nearby. The food was cooked perfectly and prepared with care, which I really appreciate. The flavor of the dishes was well-balanced and not too overpowering. The staff was friendly and even brought my order outside for a curbside pickup since parking was limited. I definitely plan on returning in the future. The restaurant was busy inside, with many diners smiling and enjoying their meals. I ordered the Cobb salad, Brussels sprouts with bacon, and a sweet potato sunshine patty for extra protein. The sunshine patty, made with sweet potato, wild rice, and kale, was absolutely delicious (and vegan). Keep up the great work!"

"We ordered take out, as we are in town visiting family and chose this place based reviews. We ordered two rolls and edamame. My avocado cucumber roll was pretty good. My husband got the Grand Canyon. We are from California, and the only place we have been to out here so far is Blue Ribbon. Wasabi was a bit overpriced for the quality. Maybe we are just spoiled, being from California and having a ton of great sushi places nearby. Nonetheless, the staff was friendly and the presentation was great. I would love to come back and sit down to eat. Cute little place. was a Monday night We enjoyed it. I would recommend if in the area!"
