"We celebrated a birthday here. She turned 20 and never had a tea party; this was her first one and she loved it. D 'nette (sp was our server. She was patient and generous with her attention to us. We had the ultimate tea. It was about $40 per person. They ask for you to pay in cash. Making a reservation was easy. There are hats in the powder room to borrow for your tea. There are hats and teas to purchase, too. We had Florence tea (yum! Valentine tea (great Chocolate mint...seriously just like an andes candy. Strong mint. Vanilla caramel...tasted like birthday cake, it may have been the sugar added. We had salad, petite finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts. Extra for soup. This definitely is a place to go for a special occasion. Good for grown-ups and good for young 'ens."

My husband and I went here for my birthday treat last weekend. We both had such a great time. He was a little nervous about it at first but was the first to say we gotta come back...and we will!! We had the caramel vanilla cake tea and the Paris tea. Both I highly recommend! Start with Paris for the sandwiches and the cake tea for the dessert portion as you work your way up the tier tray. Wonderful experience!! Service: Dine in

The tea was delightful and food was very good. Unfortunately, when my family member had a food allergy- that was expressed at the booking time- they did not cater to that initially even though I expressed that during the reservation and again in person . The baker made a special scone, but took food off the table.. very uncomfortable for us. There was a very nice lady who apologized for this mess. I would say- make sure you have exact cash. Even though, it’s 2025 and you need a card on file. Which makes no sense. I would have taken the 2% or 4% on my card. That would have been easier.

"Firstly, there was Mr. Bottomless Pit seated in the corner—a sight that could rival any competitive eating contest. This guy had a table to himself and was devouring food with such gusto that I half-expected him to start licking his plate clean with his tongue. The amount of food he shoveled into his mouth could have fed a small village for a week. His table was a mountain of discarded napkins and crumpled menus, and I swear I heard a collective gasp from the neighboring tables every time he reached for another serving. Then there was Ms. Indecisive at the salad bar. She spent a good fifteen minutes examining each leaf of lettuce as if it were a rare gemstone. She picked up a cherry tomato, squinted at it, and then placed it back with a look of profound contemplation. By the time she finally assembled her salad, it resembled a modern art installation more than a meal. At another table, a group of teenagers were engaged in a heated debate over who could create the tallest Jenga tower out of breadsticks. Crumbs were flying everywhere as they meticulously balanced each stick, occasionally collapsing into fits of laughter that echoed through the entire restaurant. And let 's not forget the couple at the romantic candlelit table near the window. They seemed to be having a lovers ' quarrel that was loud enough to rival an opera performance. Every sentence ended with a dramatic gesture and an exasperated sigh. I half-expected them to break into a rendition of Don 't Cry for Me Argentina at any moment. As for the service, it was a comedy of errors. Our waiter seemed to be auditioning for a slapstick comedy routine, juggling plates and forgetting orders with impressive consistency. At one point, he accidentally poured a glass of water into a gentleman 's lap, who promptly stood up with a startled yelp, creating a mini-flood in the middle of the dining room. CHAOS. ???????????"

"Never experienced such and unwelcoming and clicky vibe. Boston Mark from behind the bar is so obnoxious and opinionated. Throws bottles loudly, handles the mid-shift weeds like the inefficient dinosaur he is and talks about fellow workers and the patrons loudly, as if runs the joint and is working in a déclassé dive bar. First time at Chianti South, several years ago, we had the exact opposite experience. Rachel was our server. I've been a bartender and server my whole life. I found her to be the classiest and best server I ever had. The food was excellent that night. The wine list, extensive. The vibe was lovely and charming. Must have been off season then, but we returned more recently to have dinner and find the NY Strip to be tough, and fresh caught fish overcooked and service to be stale. Okay, give them another chance because we really wanted to like this place; the menu is delightful. Boston Mark left us feeling baffled. Never got salads that came with the meal. Never even had a chance to ask for them. Was greeted with an attitude and disgust that he'd have us dining with him and only warmed up ever so briefly after we ordered an okay bottle of wine. The few times he came to the table, he either came yelling at us with really no chance to speak or ask for something or just silent, sullen, and showing his stress across his face with boisterous movement and total LACK OF finesse or refinement, which we once thought Chianti South was about. We heard him talking (yelling) down to the servers, once in a swearing and screaming match about how he's right and it's his way or the highway. This is all in the tight bar space. No bearing on how obnoxiously he communicates and ruins what should be a decently finer dining experience. We waited huge periods of time for him to ignore us and watched him demonstrate a slightly more phony and careful level of service to his regulars. After taking this all in, we found such lack of professionalism and warmth on his part. We were just ready for the bill. This is the biggest kicker... wait for it. He took $10 of change due to me, on top of what I thought was an okay tip 50) for his lousy service. And the coin change, which is sometimes an old school behavior you'll see these old dinosaurs in the business do. I was honestly too shocked and over it to even bother with what could have been a scene at that point, knowing his unpleasant and combative attitude we had witnessed for the duration of our dining experience. Totally turned off by this experience. Sorry for his coworkers who have to work with him. I've heard bartenders just like this guy before... oh, my regulars love me... no they're stuck with you because your bar area is small and they have no choice. And maybe they enjoy the clickiness you play up as if they're apart of some sort of elite dining club, where all outsiders must cower to your over-the-top, aggressive personality. Ditch Boston Mark. He's not a good look. Won't be returning. It's a shame."
