"Before my trip to Detroit, I had heard great things about this restaurant and knew I had to check it out. Overall, my experience here was excellent, with the only downside being the temperature in the area we were seated in - it was a bit cold. It's important to have proper climate control when dining indoors. Other than that, the service was good, the staff were efficient, and most importantly, the food was fantastic. I would give the food a 5, service a 4, and atmosphere a 5."

"I was recently vacationing on Lake Huron and a local asked me if I’d been to Amar Pizza and suggested we stop there on our way home. I was quite intrigued that I was being recommended a place to try that was over 2 hours away from where we were, but stopped we did, and damn I’m so glad we did! First, how on Earth does this place have an average rating of a 4? The low ratings must be from a long time ago because this place runs extremely well and they have mastered their unique pizza. This place is one to go to and one to tell all your friends about. We were planning on ordering 2 small deep dish pizzas- a Naga and a Tandoori, but we ended up ordering a large and they were willing to split the pizza in half- which was a cost savings and super nice of them, for the same amount of pizza. The cashier was super welcoming and friendly and walked us through the menu and I thought her customer service was top notch. We ordered our pizza and were quoted 20 minutes, and it was ready in a little less time than that. The pizza was made fresh and boiling hot from the oven. Both pizzas belong in their own category of food. They are pizza but they also taste like something else. The components were well mastered- the crust was crispy and fluffy, and tasted a bit like a light focaccia. The flavors were well balanced- not too greasy or spicy or hot- really just perfect. I love the way they chop red onions, it really allows you to get the full onion flavor which I love. The interior was modest but clean. There was bulletproof glass like other reviewers mentioned. I’m not from the area but the neighborhood seemed safe, just not a white area, and I would have eaten inside if I didn’t have dogs waiting in the car. They have an extensive of typical and more unique beverages. I couldn’t resist trying the Mango Pepsi, which was delicious. The prices were incredibly reasonable- I spent $40 that covered four meals. And the pizza was really good reheated too. They charge a 4% fee to pay with a credit card. I marked this as a place to definitely return next time Im in the area. Thanks Amar Pizza for a great experience! Parking: There was plenty of paid street parking when we visited around noon on a Thursday. The fee was 25 cents for 15 minutes. We waited about 20 minutes for our pizza after ordering so 30 minutes should cover you if you are taking it to go!"

"This is such an awesome place! I came here with a group from work after our holiday party to do some teambuilding. I had no idea what to expect and thought the concept itself sounded silly until we started playing. It was so much fun! I can’t believe how much I enjoyed this. We had such a great time. The facility itself is awesome and everyone who is playing interacted with each other. Such a great time I can’t wait to go back. Price per person: $20–30"

"Unique! I highly recommend for carryout (via easy ordering by phone or a variety of online services) Service is fantastic. Staff are friendly and beyond helpful. Food is prepared fresh and quickly. I LOVE their style of boneless wings — many places do them like mini chicken fingers (heavily breaded) but this place prepares them like bone in wings — minimal, if any, breading. And they 're BIG. At so many wing places I feel like I 'm getting ripped off paying a dollar or more for a single bite... not here. Their menu overstates the spiciness of their sauces do not be alarmed by the number of peppers shown beside their sauces. Their hot is a medium at most, even by Midwestern standards. I don 't normally care for Old Bay, but I really enjoyed their Hot Old Bay. The only downsides are their fries and their dining area. The fries might just not travel well — they 're crinkle cut, seemed to be cooked through as usual, but were a bit soggy (can easily be blamed on travel) and a little flavorless. Their dining area... is sparse. And smelled heavily of some sort of cleaning solution. On one hand, that 's probably good, I suspect the tables were clean. On the other hand, it overpowered the great smells their kitchen should have been giving off."
