"Last night, 3/25/2023, we brought a party of 8 to Casa Italia on Division in Portland, Oregon. We were greeted at the door by Tony. Tony greeted us at the door and seated us. He introduced us to our waitress and then continued to help her throughout our meal. All of us ordered various Pasta dishes and 3 of us were celebrating our birthdays. Tony made sure that we knew what was available that evening and even helped deliver wine to those of us who wanted it. Every person at the table raved about their dish. My Linguini Mare Chiaro was excellent! There were nice sized pieces of fish and shrimp. The sauce was amazing with just a bit of spiciness to give it interest. Several at the table said they would be back. I thought the portion sizes were just right, so unless you are a really big eater, these portions should satisfy. The Affogato afterward was also right on. I will be back. Oh yeah…The parking sucks, but it is well worth the hunt for a space and walk to a great meal."

Food was great, solid service, and felt authentic. The wine was okay and will order a different bottle next time! Soup, dessert, and everything tasted amazing!

Small cozy restaurant with well covered outdoor seating and heat lamps. This place is run by Italians their pasta are freshly made and served real hot and fresh. Not as good as Italy but it does remind me of Italy. The inside gets loud and cheerful it's a fun environment. Good service.

Literally the only negative was not related to the food so I'm not counting it against them (cell service is non-existent and they have no wifi). The sauces are excellent. Everything is imported. It feels very authentic. Much better than other Italian restaurants I've been to in Portland. Visualizza piatti

Vegetarian Food Review: Went there with my friends several times and the food is consistently delicious. Customer service is warm and friendly. The garlic bread and tiramisu was yummmmm. I tried the vegetarian pasta and also the mozzarella platter. Against it was delicious. What did you think?

we really like to eat here. we found it when we stroll down the division for a place to eat. without reservation (not recommended) to go, but had luck that they were in the position, for two place. the ambiente is very beautiful, the staff is friendly and warm, the location is great and the service was timely. we had the minenstrone suppe, gnocchi with creamy pink sauce (the special for the day) and the scallopino di polio (panel.) everything was very delicious.

We were hoping to find out new Italian favorite. While owned and run by an Italian, we had high hopes! Started strong, seating is quaint and staff was friendly. Once all the parties were seated it was insanely loud. We had to shout and still struggled to hear our small group. I'd describe it as ear piercing, and do think there was an exceptionally obnoxiously loud group right next to us with 8 people. Pasta is not homemade and dishes were all okay. Carbonara was the best dish, but it didn't rival our favorite carbonara we've had. Chicken Parmesan was a bit bland but it helped to pair it with the carbonara. Visualizza piatti

Service and food were amazing! I was greeted at the door and appropriately seated at a small table as I was dining alone. Staff lit a candle and there were fresh flowers on my table. Felt like a hot date with myself. Cozy setting and smiles. My water glass was kept full as well as my belly. I tried the house Chianti (favorite) and a Rose?. I had the Caprese antipasto, Lasagna, roasted peppers and tiramisu. Bread and oil to munch in between. All excellent and brought in a timely manner. From the greeting in the door to the ?good job? from a host on my way out I had a great experience and look forward to returning with a friend!

We made a reservation, got in a few minutes later, seated at a table. Were served water and asked about an appetizer. It arrived about 10 minutes later. We then ordered and an hour and 10 minutes later, we FINALLY received out food. Yes, they were busy and it was a Friday night, but I have never had to wait there under the same circumstances) more than about 25 minutes. They said it was because of the gluten free pasta which I order every time). Seriously? I cook GF pasta at home and it takes absolutely no longer than any other kind of pasta. There were 3 of us and we just ordered regular items from the menu. It ended up being quite late for us which is why we had an earlier reservation at 6...

"Boxcar Pizza does creative all vegan pizza done Detroit style. I am from NY and had plenty of pizza there in the day before I was vegan. Pizza and NY are synonymous. I would love to check out Screamer's Pizza in NY next time I am there.I have only had Detroit Pizza one other time and happened to be vegan. It was alright when I had it then. I have been to Detroit where the talented rapper Eminem is from. Detroit is where the pinball like running back legend Detroit Lion Barry Sanders played. Detroit is where I was in awe when I saw the Diego Rivera murals there. Detroit isn't known for it's pizza yet lately Detroit pizza seems to be getting popular.Detroit Pizza is like a cross between Sicilian and Chicago deep dish yet comes in a square with four slices. Boxcar Pizza was named best vegan pizza this past year in Veg News magazine so had great expectations coming here. Boxcar Pizza delivered! I went with the Viktor Vaughn pizza. The pizza came with mozzarella, cheddar, kale, red onions, ricotta, mama lil's peppers, and pesto. I got it with a side of red sauce for dipping which I recommend. The pizza was very tasty. Plenty of flavor. It was a bit rich and filling for plenty of vegan cheese was used. Perhaps a touch less vegan cheese and other pizza pies with more veggies would be nice. I like that this pizza had plenty of veggies on it. I just got this and was able to eat it all. Each pizza serves one to two depending on your appetite. If you come with a friend or spouse might be good to split one and order a Kale Caesar salad to share.Viktor Vaughn is the real name of Dr. Doom who happens to be the arch enemy of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics. Viktor Vaughn is also a British rapper. There are many different kinds of pizza here and am so happy that a vegan pizza place delivers tasty vegan pizza. I hope they open up branches in other cities.Recommended!"
